Firefight fail, Irony win.

Crok

I like these kinds of fails… it’s kinda sad to see them, but it’s real funny xD

righthandgenius

it is a huge win for irony.

Madrugada Jones

I love that the guy’s using a dinky hand-held fire extinguisher rather than a big hose to put out a blaze that could ignite the truck’s gas tank. I guess they don’t train for stuff like this.

Matt Shafer

lol notice the flames comming out of the other side aswell. id say that truck is toast!

Dark

Probably. It wouldn’t surprise me that they haven’t been trained to put out a fire truck.

Homer

There is one guy still on top fighting some other, unseen fire. That guy have balls of steel.

thescoopblog

Dang, that is a bad day huh? LOL!

Aaron

Well Madrugada Jones first off that truck there is most likely a diesel so it don’t have gas in the tanks, plus the fuel tanks sit up at the front of the trucks anyways to help balance the trucks cause of the weight of the water. And Second The guy using the dinky fire extinguisher isn’t a firefighter notice that he isn’t wearing any turn-out gear. All fire fighters at the scene of a fire must have turn-out gear. He was just a bystander helping out.

JJ

Thanks for sticking up for us Aaron. And you are correct and well… lets see you guys try to do something as tuff as this.

Aaron

Well I’ve been a firefighter for 8 years now and an EMT for 5 I’ve seen a lot and done a lot as a firefighter and people don’t realize how hard it is to fight fire. They have no idea how heavy everything is and how much it physically drains you. Plus people think running into a burning building is easy, well I

piotrr

Running into a burning building is easy.

It’s the way out that deserves credit.

Well I’ve been a firefighter for 8 years now and an EMT for 5 I’ve seen a lot and done a lot as a firefighter and people don’t realize how hard it is to fight fire. They have no idea how heavy everything is and how much it physically drains you. Plus people think running into a burning building is easy, well I have news for them it’s not. It just pisses me off when people rip on firefighters when they don’t know anything about firefighting, but if it was their house on fire who do you think they are going to call.

Detlef

firefighters are pussies.

JJ

People like you and I. I have been one for some time now and know what you are talking about. Its even worse as a jr. You have to do everything for everyone Especially them calls at 2 in the morning after a hard day at work or school.

Keelhaul

I don’t think that there is a lack of appreciation for firefighters here…………..It’s just a humor site….To make light of something that maybe wouldn’t be so funny otherwise.
I can take you to about eight fire stations right now that have a photo of the whole staff in silly poses in front of a burning house…half of em’ smoking cigarettes…….If you are human and live indoors you’d be stupid not to appreciate a fireman and the job he does.

Asurasur

I remember a couple years back when protests seemed to be all the media could cover the Oregonian reported that Portland Fire Bureau officials ordered U.S. flags removed from fire engines, “concerned that their presence might provoke dangerous confrontations with antiwar demonstrators.”

Was the fire department really afraid someone was going to try setting a fire truck on fire? And if they did try it, wouldn’t the comedy of the situation make it worthwhile? Fortunately, the fire department changed its mind the next day, and flags are back on the trucks now.
