I’d say him looking like an idiot with a huge blue radiation suit on, trying to surf to probably prove a point is a fail. The fact that there aren’t any WAVES is a bigger FAIL!

That’s an oxygen tank on his back. The suit is designed to accomodate one. If you were to look at his face, you’d see an air mask hooked to the tank.

the surf photo is the only hopeless photo definitively not funny at all. it’s the only one that makes me cry, it’s probably someone who suffers from “Xeroderma pigmentosum” the disease that forces you to not expose your skin to the sun, anf if so the person inside that suit is just having a very moment of happines. If anyone has info on this, let us know so that we can really laugh if it’s a freak or sympathize, and even send money if that one in the blue suit is sick.

steph: the possibility of that did come to mind for me too. However, since Anonymous Jul 6 3:46pm identified it as a specific hazmat suit I think the earlier hypothesis that it’s a prank makes sense. I should hope that the doctors of anyone with xeroderma should advise them against doing something this dumb.
Yes, the Summer Olympics are promising to be hot this year! The main competitors this year is the Three Mile Island surf team from the US and Chernobyl surf team from Russia. No word yet on the Jamaicans or the Canadians sadly. Competition this year promises to be HOT … in more ways than one!!!
I think this is the waikiki city sewage dispose fail from 2006. they dumped sewage into a favorite surfing spot. told people it was fine and this was a protest of sorts.
