The Failboat begins the long trek inland where it will nest for the winter and hatch its young……..Oh but for the warmth of spring when a new flock of failboat will exit the nest and begin a life of spreading joy across the internets and into our hearts…..The circle of life.

  19. Odissious says:

reply to #22 Bush is still smarter than you-

Looks like Hurricane Camille beached it in 1969 and the forest hath growed up around it!

Or else drug smugglers were too busy getting “high” and ran agound….

  20. zim says:

    Just plain ol’ dumb

  21. Q says:

Odissious, AWESOME response… or was it supposed to be ironic as it’s in failblog?

  23. [...] continuing adventures of Failboat: Fail Blog has had some great Failboats before, but this one is one of the best. How long until they add this [...]

  24. Failboat is non-conformist

  25. Scott A says:

We found a failboat on this one property we bought. In fact…I think that photo may have been by the previous owners, it looks so familiar.

It was up on cinder blocks…30 miles from the nearest body of water large enough for a cabin cruiser.

Yes. A boat. On cinder blocks. Cue dueling banjos!

We filed it abandoned, then sold it for a dollar.

  26. JER says:

how the hell did that happen? i just wanna know

  27. Loh says:

    Ahh, failboat.

  28. EyesoftheProdigY says:

If that boat was hitched to a trailer, then the trailer would have been pulled by a truck, maybe. If you notice closely, there is a tree directly in front of it, no more than a couple feet from it. Therefore, it couldn’t have been hitched because there wouldn’t have been a tree there.

My theory? Possibly a big flood carried this boat to where it sits now. I’ve seen it happen before.

  29. Casey says:

Holy shit i know that boat.
    :]
and i know where it is

  30. shelby! says:

uh let’s not get all technological on how the boat got there. IT FAILED.

  35. YANA says:

    I have a logical explanation:

This is a monument in Bulgaria (if the photo is taken there).
    Sorry for spoiling it!

In a town there we have the boat in the forest and the sculpture in the river.. Its a combination of things showing we actually have a sense of humour…
    Humour fail :D

If the picture is taken elsewhere, SORRY, Evan + comment fail!

hope the captain chain it up to make sure no one steals it lol

  40. utah beef says:

this is where noah’s ark wound up, in the woods!

  41. PsychoDad says:

Hmm, still gotta wonder how it got there. Not a storm, it’s too upright. Most coastal areas you’ll see good size boats like this brought out of the water for winter — I mean like lobster boats and commercial fishing boats– I’m guessing somebody just never went back to sea and the woods grew up around it . . . if you were closer you might see the hull blocks holding it upright.

  42. Corleone says:

    this actually looks pretty awesome

  43. carpman says:

I actually saw a few of these (or other sorts of large boats) in the woods near various roads/highways when I lived in Killarny, Ontario. There’s probably a road in the background, and somebody just brought the boat there to dump it.
