When I was in second grade they told us not to put a chin or lock through just the front wheel, but then they also taught us not to put a decimal in front of a cent sign in second grade and yet I’ve seen adults do that!
My brother said he saw a bike like that at college, at the beginning of the semester someone had chained it to a rack and by the end of the semester all that was left was a frame
someone stole my saddle once – I just came back to find my bike sans saddle.
Also, you can’t just lock the frame up either, because then someone will pinch your wheels, and (rim+tire+tube)X2 gets expensive – the key is a long chain and putting it through wheels & frame.
I remember one time seeing something like this. What made it even funnier was that the bike next to it, which WAS secured properly, had its front wheel stolen.
Nice. The dude got a whole bike for free! Seriously, if someoen really wanted to, they could steal every part of your bike, leaving just the frame sat there!

It has always been my plan to steal all the unlocked-up front wheels of bikes on my campus. Then I will set up a front bike wheel stand on the side of the road for people who need front wheels for their bikes.
I will also sell accessories like saddles, reflectors, tires, water bottles, and odometers. Whatever I feel the public needs.
I made the EXACT same mistake that guy did. I guess it WAS a lack of common sense to only have the bike tied up by the front tire. Got my bike stolen to. =(
hahaaa xD
Ok I’ll take his tires, you take the… where’s the radio?
Unicycle WIN!!!
But there’s no seat… or pedals…. lol
SEAT-LESS/WHEEL-LESS UNICYCLE WIN!!!!
the bike was stolen… but they werent able to unlock the lock, so they unattached the bike to the wheel… lol!
at least we can all rely on you clearing things up for us.
And that why you but the chain through the wheel AND THE FRAME

Classic!
That’s actually something people do around here, they lock up their bicycle, take off the front wheel, and lock that up a block away. Still fail.
You’re supposed to lock the back wheel.
The front wheel is hella easy to take off.
The Back one is the one with gears.
Or why not just lock to the frame…
Because THEN someone who’s a jerk will come along and take your front wheel out of spite.
That makes no sense. If someones gonna take your wheel out of spite then how is locking the frame not better than locking the back wheel? lol
That’s a huge FAIL!
ha what a dumb ass
They must be REALLY protective of that wheel.
That sucks.

I think the reflector should be locked up, too. That thing is f’in SWEET.
retard gregor get’s turned on by reflectors.
Turns me on
My brother said he saw a bike like that at college, at the beginning of the semester someone had chained it to a rack and by the end of the semester all that was left was a frame
Desperados stole the bike.

did not!
Ok is that the same same person? seriously.
No, it’s not!

I had the same thing happen, came back to a saddle-less bike.
I always lock the wheels and frame but did not think about the seat…
Anonymous stole the bike.
That’s no fail. It’s not a bike tire, either,
it’s a unicycle with no pedals or seat.
I remember one time seeing something like this. What made it even funnier was that the bike next to it, which WAS secured properly, had its front wheel stolen.
If it were secured properly, the front wheel could not have been stolen.

hahahahahaha!
That made me laugh sooooooo hard. xD

Just look for the idiot riding around on a unicycle. That’s your thief.
Nice. This is why you don’t put a quick release on the front wheel people!
This happened near the grocery store I live near last week.
I live in Amsterdam and you can see things like this on an everyday basis

One deserves that for being retarded enough to lock a bike by the wheel and not the frame. FAIL

Failure in stealing a complete bike, and failure in knowing how to properly lock up a damn bike.
so thats where my unicycle tire went!!!
True classic fail – this is a fairly typical scene in Amsterdam – god i love that place!

LOL XDDDD
N***A STOLE MA BIKE!
