» 52 Failures in Communication

  1. feckineejit says:

    This one’s from Jalopnik.com

  2. p0nk says:

when your auto manufacturer contracts out to fisher-price for accessories, it’s time to upgrade.

    /just found this blog
    //long time fark.com reader

  3. Mark says:

It would actually be cool if this was an aircraft landing gear.

  4. Sofar says:

I tell you, you never see full-size spare tires anymore.

  5. grownANDsexy says:

I hope I never see this in real life.

  6. drywall says:

Fail? That took a lot of ingenuity — and it’s awesome.

    • Fumbe says:

I agree, engineering win. If I saw that I would wait for the owner to come back just to tell them how awesome it looks…. Imagine, all four wheels like that…. Car design win.

    • Chardo says:

…until it comes across a pebble or some loose sand.

  7. As Ralph Nader would say “that would be unsafe at any speed.” Then he’d say “vote for me.”

  8. d3 says:

Had a rental once with a 12″ wheel and the tire had about the same tread width as the photo. Scared to death on the highway.

  9. Edthedawg says:

[Failpiss] That’s not fail. That’s just you being an IDIOT.

  10. Hunter says:

No DIMWIT Pervo! You suck! And Ed, you’re the IDIOT!

  11. Alcari says:

not a fail, that’s pretty creative.

  12. Homer says:

Hunter also believed he was his g/f’s first.

  13. Homer says:

Wow, that is original. Originality fail

  14. Anonymous says:

No one has pointed out the makeshift seatbelts…Made from chain!

  15. Anonymous says:

I saw lots of cars in India that had that same spare.

  16. Buczas says:

that’s an ‘upgrade’ for practicing driving on a slippery surface (ice). They act like shopcart’s wheels, thus simulate a skid.

    • no-name says:

I know what your talking about but this isn’t it. Those brackets have a swept back design so that they automatically turn wherever the main mass is moving to, they also have two peices where they mount to the car to allow them to spin 360. This is mounted direct to the axel and has straight brackets. It is jury rigging at a level I hope to someday master.

Only felt the need to add this as people latched on to what you said as a fact rather than sarcasm. And dagnabbit those people on the internet always need to be told when their wrong.

  17. Andreas says:

This one only proves that german cars are way too much high-tech for americans.

  18. me says:

    seat belt fail?

  19. Anon says:

Buczas is right, they are used to simulate skidding on ice.

  20. J Mintuck says:

I think this fail would be illegal. Why didn’t the police “get” him for this. Maybe a her, too.

  21. Ashchaya says:

That’s got to be outside the load rating and speed rating of that tyre.

  22. Provo says:

The only ones failing here are people commenting. Like Buczas wrote the “shopping cart wheels” are attached to the FWD car, to make car unstable, and simulate driving on slippery surfaces, where back slides and you can only controll the car with front wheels, and the throttle. It’s an advanced driving learning, but hey: how would the americans with their idiotproof straight-only roads know about it…

    • FuzzyMuffin says:

Have you ever been to the west coast of america? Ever heard of San Fransisco? How about Astoria? YOU FAIL!

      • Macavity says:

Or Upstate New York, for that matter – particularly around the Catskill and Adirondack Mountain region (which is where I live, BTW.)

  23. Alex says:

    FAILUUUUUUUUUUUUURE

  24. SkidControl says:

That as said, is a Skid Control driving vehicle.

In many parts of the Northern USA and Canada, driving schools are required to have access (Either own or rent) to those types of vehicles.

  25. Aedhan says:

it’s a handicapped car! similar to a prosthetic leg.

  26. skipjack says:

    Does MacGyver drive that car?

  27. gruffin says:

all the cars wheels are like that….you just dont see them

  28. Marian says:

It’s not failed! It’s for training how to drive on ice. There are courses with such cars in Poland.

  29. Aimee says:

Shrunk in the car wash??? =p

  30. Meh. says:

They always have that one bad wheel, I’m telling you.

    Tweakers…

  35. Matt says:
