It’s when you drive really fast at the spot, and spin sideways and slide into the spot. Yeah, it’s possible, but it’s very difficult to pull off. World record is fitting in a spot with about 4 inches clearance I think.

Hmm…. See the drive wheel with spikes on the bottom? He backed off the cliff. The turret is facing the back of the tank. I guess that makes it slightly easier to see how it could have happened, given that the driver probably couldn’t have seen the cliff, but you have to wonder why none of the crew in the turret noticed…
I am afraid that you are wrong. The Merkava has its engine up front. This means that the tank fell off the cliff front first.

Actually the crew did exactly what was required in such a situation: rotate the turret in the direction of the fall so that the tank doesn’t flip over and crush the turret crew.
I don’t think they had the time to do this, the turret is always directed forward usually when you ride unless you have to fire at something

I do this all the time in Video games. Somehow I modded Halo so all vehicles can be destroyed. Tank+large cliff+marines pinned down at bace of cliff= ‘splodey tank= epic fail.

1. This tank was driving forward when this happened. If you look at the how far the barrel would stick out if it was facing the other way would give it an unstable firing platform. 2. There would never have been enough time to spin the turret to “prevent the crew from being crushed”. 3. the rest of these comments are hilarious haha
