  1. huskerdont says:

That’s what was called an “ender” back in the day, and was probably intentional. Though with the old-timey life jackets and the looks on their faces, it’s still fail.

    • regalbats says:

listen to he who has experience.. lmfao! closest you ever got to swimming in anything was in your own vomit after a rage filled night of losing in network doom 3 all by yourself because the dog was dead and aunty went out to the local bar to make you a new little brother.

    • kayak is a palindrome! says:

I still have two of those old-timey life jackets… and two of the old-style slalom boats, too! lol!

  2. Hunter says:

The guy on the bottom looks like he’s having a really good time. ;)

  3. Sleebus.jones says:

    Power bottom.

  4. cathbad says:

the guy on top’s mouth looks photoshopped…

  5. themark says:

Title fail! It’s a kayak, not a canoe

  6. Ethan Hunt says:

I’m the guy that posted it and to “themark” I feel sorry that you studied that pic enough to come to the conclusion that it’s a kayak. Just laugh man, just laugh.

  7. huskerdont says:

Hey themark, what makes you sure it’s a kayak? (Just asking.) I’ve been boating for 15 years and it was hard for me to tell. The top boater looks to be above the hull more than a kayaker, perhaps on his knees like a canoeist would be. The paddle looks like it could go either way–you can’t see if there’s another blade or not; his right hand could be that way with either type of paddle, and his left is positioned such that it could be at the top of a single blade. What do you think? I could be wrong. I don’t recognize the boat itself.

    • Aaron says:

i could tell the second i saw it because it comes to a point too quickly and sharply, ive never seen a canoe that pointed and slender at the ends, the canoes ive seen are more rounded to a point.
i could be wrong but i doubt it… im from Minnesota, land of ten thousand lakes.

      • Anonymous says:

Kayaks are enclosed. Canoes are open. Doesn’t matter past that. Also, yes, Canoes are rounded on the bottom and kayaks point. You couldn’t get two guys falling over in a canoe like this. They’d both fall forward and out before it positions like this, anyhow.

    • Old canoe dude says:

It’s a slalom racing canoe. Anyone see whitewater canoeing in the olympics? the boats look almost the same though that is an old picture.

    • Dayzie says:

Canoes are hollow. Kayaks meet @ the top except for a smallish opening. I could be wrong, but that’s mt assumption.

    • cake walk holocaust says:

look at how shallow the boat is in the back. a canoe is much deeper. Could be a canoe paddle though, hard to say.

  8. trappedinsnow says:

    as a canuck, I have to tell ya, that’s a kayak…

  9. u_fail says:

    argument fail

  10. Muskox says:

Huskerdont is right, kayakers sit low in their boats, whereas canoeists sit high or kneel. In the case of the C-2 pictured, as in most whitewater canoes, they’ll kneel.

  11. nattcakes says:

    its a kayak :|
I’ve done boating for a few years,
and I’m sure its a kayak,
Canoes don’t go that far back, its more wide then anything, while kayaks are slim and long (LOL) and the boat has a top, while canoes have no top, just straddling bars going across, or places to sit, depends on the type of canoe.
    But yeah, its a kayak.

  12. turd says:

it can’t be a kayak or a canoe

i’ve been eating for 17 years and i’m telling you it’s a fridge

it’s got the sleek design of a Sears S666-XyZ Deluxe Edition With Diamond Studded Interior and a 0% carcinogen free coolant system

    but yeah, it’s a fridge.

  13. Rufus says:

You’re all wrong. They’re riding an orca and that’s it’s dorsal fin.

    • sofmush says:

dude, definitely the first thing I thought of when I saw this pic :D
if they were actually riding an orca, officially the two biggest BAMFS in the world lol

  14. definitelynotasdf says:

You can’t be serious! It’s a kayak sticking out of asdf’s bottom!

  15. Rosie says:

Why isn’t anybody wondering, what the top guy is looking at? Do you think he’s looking at a massive water fall drop coming up or a monster whole, a nasty strainer, or…?

    And yes, it’s a kayak!

  16. Failz says:

the top guy is yelling “Stop taking photos and help us!”

  17. Ninja Kittens LOL says:

The looks on their faces are the best part of the picture xD

  18. axelander says:

thats right Ninja Kittens LOL, the pictures just priceless.

  19. paul says:

its a kayak. its called a topo duo kayak. used for two man slalom.

  20. Anonymous says:

no no, its all in the mind

for all of you that don’t get it, quote by George Harrison

  21. Anonymous says:

Its Kyak fail I think, what’s with buddy’s face?

  22. Seddah says:

  23. cr4zy1 says:

  24. Anonymous says:

    It is actually a kayak

  25. Sarge says:

    that guys face is brilliant

  26. welovefailing says:

    x-games fail

  27. Redwreck says:

Nope, it’s a canoe, more accurately a C-2, a decked tandem canoe. Differs from a kayak in that the paddlers are kneeling rather than sitting, and use single-bladed paddles rather than double-bladed kayak paddles. Slalom racing in these weirdassed boats is (or was, dunno about now) an Olympic sport.

This pedantic moment brought to you for the hell of it.

  28. bob says:

    his face is priceless..

  29. lolheh? says:

ARGUMENT FAIL! stop arguing and enjoy the lolz

  30. Not_Me says:

All of you have yet to notice that this is a still frame from a movie. The Guy in the yellow vest is Daniel Stern (most notably from Home Alone 1 and 2). So, I mean, obviously it doesn’t matter, because it was planned.

  31. cole-da-mole says:

    moustache= epic failzors

the guy on the bottom looks like he’s having an orgy…

  32. Phil says:

    I don’t think thats a canoe

  33. theirishboxer says:

why does it matter what kind of boat there in really its funny either way

  34. page3girl says:

    Guys, I am actually crying

    Your comments = WIN

Loved it, especially the comment about the Orca!!! LMFAO!

  35. KGizzle says:

  36. Unrequired says:

    OMG!!! IT’S JAWS!!!!!

  37. St33v says:

The guy on top kind of looks like Bill Engvall.

  38. Zaboomafoo says:

you are all wrong. That is the wing of a small aircraft and the men are Goose (top) and Maverick (bottom) from Top Gun.

  39. anon says:

    O-face fail.

  40. JC says:

Actually, you failed, because thats not a canoe

  41. Yo mama says:

The dude in the water looks like Wil Farrow or however his last name is spelled… lol. :P

  42. Tim says:

Actually that is an old Colorado Kayak Supply poster and it IS a canoe (C-2) to be exact… circa 1985 on the poster.

  43. trusts says:

    classic facial expression

  44. Lolinkid says:
