» 65 Failures in Communication

  1. Edwardo says:

    That guy has long toes…

  2. Hunter says:

While he’s kicking, he should be protecting his balls.

  3. Frankybonz says:

Having taken taekwondo in the past, yes, the person kicking has his right arm uselessly behind him.

    • Masterblaze0 says:

Ive done Brazillian Jujitsu, and I can agree with you.

      • Running Waters says:

Yes…but does it really matter? After that kick, the guy on the left isn’t going to be able to see past the stars for a good 30 secs…

        • Caity Lynne says:

Lol, but don’t forget the little birds that fly in circles!

        • Sebry says:

I dunno, it may have been control, I do karate, they normally do control attacks in my club, although, you wouldn’t have gotten up to a blue belt (let alone black) with your guard down low like the guy getting kicked has it…or letting it down away from your face while kicking…I dunno, seems like they’re black belts on one side, but a creamy colour on the other…never seen that before

          • ClariPossum says:

Kinda looks to me like it might be some sort of demonstration for teaching/training purposes? Dunno anything about martial arts myself, though, but I suppose it’s possible.

          • Gedriis says:

Most “black” belts are actually just a black cover sewed over an un-dyed cotton core.

The cream colour is from the black covering on the belt getting worn off from long use. It’s broken in, is all.

          • Shows how much blondes know... says:

They’re brown belts training for black. Senpai of the class. Both are ignoring their guards.

    • Anonymous says:

      No, he’s preparing for a firefart. :O

  4. Erk says:

Not sure which one is the fail… the one getting the facewash or the other guy about to lose his manhood.

  5. finch says:

wtf haha this made me smile for a sec LOL

  6. Alcari says:

I dunno about his manhood. Getting a kicked in the face tends to ruin most of your plans of attack.

  7. theBlueTick says:

lol! …makes my day seem not as bad anymore.

    =)

  8. Will you post the pictures that i send to you?

  9. Sleebus.jones says:

    Fingertoes, ewwww.

  10. Homer says:

Umm, are we going to be looking at this get getting a foot to the face for another week? How about something new?

  11. stubb says:

Blog Failure in the updating department

  12. Hunter says:

Restart 4×4 Cross Country Radio Controlled Car for POWER LOVE WONDER FLASH!

  13. Please some new pics!!

  14. leechio says:

Sorry for the lack of posts. It’s been a busy week at work. Next week should be back to normal, but please bear with me for the meantime!

I’m constantly vetting submissions, even though I’m not updating the blog. It’s much easier to flick through emails and star the good ones – but it’s much more time consuming downloading and uploading each one to WordPress! Rest assured that there are more pics to come. When I get a free minute…

  15. Anonymous says:

    MOAR

  16. Vaux says:

As a student of Tang Soo Do, it looks like they’re One-Step Sparring to me. The “receiver” is supposed to stand still while the “attacker” practices moves. The only possible fail I see here is the attacker may have made contact, which is a no-no for One-Step. It could just be reeeaallly close which would show remarkable control and,distance-awareness… therefore, a Pass.

  17. Trigger says:

The pic is a setup. There is no fail, its a pose. There was no motion when the pic was snapped.

  18. Kamikaze says:

    FALCON KICK!!!!

  19. aj says:

Since the attacker is in front stance with lowered arms, it does indeed look like prearranged exercises/demos (as mentioned, one step or similar). There are schools where advanced practitioners can and do come extremely close with good control. If this were a sparring match, it would look more like a fail (I’ve seen such pix, for real!) where you see the same idea.

  20. that guy geeing kicked in the face should just punch with that one hand……..look where it woulod end up

  21. uBuCuu says:

this is a karate win, :P

  22. Kig says:

    What makes this funny
Is that the guy getting kicked has somehow failed to receive the shockwave
from a kick in the face

  23. yfrog says:

I Do Martial Arts, And That is Very Common. I Wonder What he Is Thinking Though?

  24. Anonymous says:

Too many toes on it xD

  25. ryan says:

hahaha look at his other foot. it looks all tiny

  26. ryan is gay says:

thats not a fail. he obviously is gonna take that and respond with an epic smash and own that kicking noob. i mean look, the dude didn’t even move!!! you know your in a bad fight when that happens

  27. Isabella says:

I hope the kid getting kicked gets athlete’s face… haha, get it??!! (yup, i know, that failed so hard)

  28. KipperFillets says:

This is obviously a demo pose. I’ve done these loads of times.
The man on the left is just standing – not attacking (he’d have an arm out punching, and you never really attack in forward stance).
The man on the right is performing a perfect side kick pose, helf for the camera.
For all the stupid comments on “He’s not protecting himself” – you don’t defend your groin on a side kick. You’ve be off balance. Even a front kick you only protect your upper body.
How do some posters feel they can call people in the picture stupid, when they don’t even know what they’re talking about themselves??

  29. War10ck says:

I did that once. My toes were in his eyes. He cried.

  30. kat says:

this guy was owned no one failed

  31. Brittany says:

What’s the source on this photo….it looks like Matt Miller getting kicked in the face…

  32. chaz says:

    kicker gets epic win

  33. Toomtam says:

Hey, you have a great blog here! I’m definitely going to bookmark you! Thank you for your info. And this is **Do Karate** site/blog. It pretty much covers ###Karate## related stuff.

  34. basicgrl says:

not only is he kicking his face, but he also looks like he is gonna grab it with his falcon toes

  35. JaYpee says:

Are u sure your a black belter

  36. Ren says:

Kick is almost useless. Kicker’s leg is at full extension with *little to no penetration*. It’s an attention-getter, but not much damage done from what I see. Still a blocking fail for the other guy.

And to get it out of the way… *=”That’s what she said…”

    • Ren says:

Therefore this is a double fail. Blocking fail on the left and attacking fail on the right.

    • KipperFillets says:

If your read the earlier comments you’d know you’ve just performed a “Comment Fail”.
This is a demonstration kick, a pose held for the camera, to show a perfect side kick. They guy on the left is just there to be a target – he’s not supposed to try to defend himself. Not a blocking fail, as you suggest!
You certainly don’t know your stuff when saying the kick has little or no penetration because it’s at full stretch. A karate kick has most of the power delivered in the snap at the end – penetrating only a couple of inches. Doh!

  37. Levi says:

two things are going through this guy’s mind: “OUCH!!!”, and “this guy’s foot stinks!!!!!”

  38. Bobby says:

    FINISH HIM!

  39. reverb says:

thats not a fail thats a win. that is an actual move. and by stance, it looks like demonstration…

  40. sophomoric says:

I know the guy on the right pretty well and it was him who probably put this on here. This is a demonstration. He would never spar like that..lol The reason the guy on the right’s belt looks like that is kind of to show that he has been a black belt for a long time ie long enough for the belt to wear out. From the looks of it he is demonstrating a side kick or more likely a hook heel kick. But, my question is why the guy throwing the kick has dropped his right hand. And my friend on the left is in an odd sparring position to begin with.
