My Boyfriend used to live in South Korea, but he could tell you about the shit that goes on between North and South Korea. The kids in the school actually have war and bomb drills.

I do believe South Korea is “a tad” more developed than North Korea, but I don’t think that this picture is representative in that sense.

Kim Il-sung, president of NK, was declared dead by physicians on 8th of july, 1994. However, he is officially a deity, and so he really never died, therefore he hasn’t left office, and so, officially, General Kim Jong-il, the president-god’s son, is merely General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defense Commission, taking care of the country until the Eternal President returns.

Every household in NK is equipped with a government-controlled radio. The government decides when this radio is used, and for what, by controlling them remotely.

NK civillians are not allowed to own an automobile of any sort, that is the domain of the military.

In the late ’90’s, the NK people were finally told that Elvis had permenately left the building.

Kim Jong-il is an active golfer, and state media reports that he routinely hits 3-4 hole-in-ones per round (the odds of hitting one single hole-in-one is, per one round, 5000 to 1).

Kim Jong-il has written six operas and refers to himself as an internet expert.

The official biography of Kim Jong-il states that his birth was heralded by a swallow, and that when the birth took place, a double rainbow appeared on the sky, and a new star was to be seen in the heavens.

To sum it up: No, I don’t think that this picture is representative of NK’s electrical development, but rather an example of simon says. Kim Jong-il says good night, and then hits the light for you.

It’s simple, really.
North Korea is a communist country that doesn’t want anyone else to know what the North Korean population is. They make it so lights aren’t to be on during the night so typical Americans can make a comment about how they’re conserving energy. (don’t hate, I live in Ohio)
To the uninformed, it looks as though North Korea is still in the stone age, compared to South Korea.

This is not a real photograph. It is a representation of the populated aread vs the lesser populated areas. An artist did this picture to represent where lit-up areas would be. The reason North Korea is dark is not because they don’t have lights, its because they are communist and do not release information about their population to other countries.

the khmer rouge FAILED when vietnam invaded cambodia when they (khmer rouge) were busy wiping out 2 million out their small population. it was an epic fail on the part of the khmer rouge for being at odds with vietnam, who had just owned the americans and their south vietnamese buddies. thousands or millions more could’ve been murdered by the khmer rouge if it weren’t vietnam, who saved the day unknowingly by invading cambodia in the goals of regime change.

than KJI’s father Kim Il-sung, and yes, KIS is A PRESIDENT FAIL.

he’s long dead for about 14 years now and besides the fact that he is
being worshiped, he is officially the president/head of state of north korea.
KJI officialy holds the position of chairman of the national defense
commission (aka the army) which power he should’ve shared the premier
and the president of the people’s assembly. but as son and appointed
heir of KIS, KJI is more equal than others.
