u know how many people wouldnt even know what that was. Damn, i’m old
Nu! It was only two and a half years ago they asked us to bring in flash drives instead of floppies.
ghettolicious
lol I still use that floppy, and the 3 1/3 ” one… plus flash drives
It’s a DOS floppy, and it’s weird for me to know, i’m 17

Intelligence fail.
You make me so sad for the future.
Hahaha! What a moron.
i no wut that is
Super spelling fail!
I am 25 years old and I began servicing PC’s when I was 9. I remember using those. I am old to I would say. If anyone wants one of those drives to use on there PC’s I have one sitting in a tower in the corner. If you want it. 5 bux plus delivery. Email me at colep2003@hotmail.com.
Hey…if you still have games on those old timer disks you can pull them off and put them onto a CD. these drives can be worth it.
those old games are fun and I still play old games. I just don’t have any on a hard disk anymore.
But this woman is up crap creek trying to put into her laptop.
I’m old enough to have used cassette tapes for my computer — a CoCo II. And yes, they were mostly for adventure games, we didn’t even have a word processor in our computer.
Go east
Go north
Look door
Go door
Open door
Go north
Look
Uhm…. cassette tapes….. in a computer?
yep, i remember that. that was magnetic storage combined with binary in the form of sound. when you see the old sci fi comps with the reel to reel, thats what they used to use.
Hey I am 16 years old and I sometime use a Comodore 32
*64
That’s a five and a quarter. I remember when those discs were eight inches.
That’s what she said.
Lame, but it WAS funny..oh, i dunno, a long time ago. Now whenever someone posts a comment involving length, it must be replied with the inevitable “thats what she said”… do you laugh at these lame arse comments? if so, yo need a good, old fashioned fist-to-the-jaw. If not, don’t post comments you yourself don’t laugh at
you seriously arguing about a little joke?
“yo need a good, old fashioned fist”
That’s what she said.
BTW Anonymous, I know you don’t think so, but I think the humor might be a little over your head. It’s ironic: the fact that it isn’t funny is what makes it funny.
OMG!!!! DOUBLE POSTING!!! :O
that stupid child is fail
wow. you must be one up-tight mother f#cker! what he ^ said: the fact that it didn’t make any sense is what made it funny. and, how do you know he himself didn’t laugh at it? what a loser!!
[...] Here’s a geeky image, courtesy of The FAIL Blog. [...]
I somehow feel nostalgic seeing that…
As I saw demonstrated in a university computer lab once, you have to fold the 5 1/4″ disks to get them to fit in the 3 1/2″ drives.:-P
(And no, I don’t have a photo of the incident.)
a blonde would be more apt in this picture
she’s half ginger so thats bad enough
[...] ¿Se lo decís vosotros o se lo digo yo? [...]
But the 3rd fail is Photoshopped, right?
This chick is cute.
I love her expression
Jason had a post failure.
^^
No I don’t know what are those disks 5 1/4!
Chris, saying this chick is cute?!
You fail at not being a pedophile.
shes college material there
hehe ye ol 5′1/4” damn one for the program and one for the OS damn thats a life time ago!!!
“Hello, Tech Support? I’m having trouble installing Wolfenstein.”
Alex FTW!!!
Eh, you had 5 1/4″?
I my time, we had to make do with punchcards:p
ps. Spook, 5ft floppies? Size fail.
Don’t copy that floppy!
ok im 15 and i still remember those
You want me to put what in the what?
That picture looks like its taken from a porn photo series.
I would insert my penis into her
…that was akward…
She looks astonished to not find the proper slot.
The five and a quarter floppy is like the LP of computers.
I played Reader Rabbit off of one of those when I was a kid.
thats the exact same laptop i have
@trophyguy: I’m 19 and I still know what that is.. still used those things when i was really little
She’s about 15 years too late there, not to mention that I don’t think a laptop in existence has ever had a 5 1/4″ floppy drive. Just love the expression on her face.
Chis is right, she’s cute!
i own a laptop that has a floppy drive. it also is on black and white instead of color.
my mom’s laptop has interchangeable (spelling?) CD and floppy disk… (i don’t know) drives?…
Aaaah, this exact thing has happened to me more than once. The first time it was the wrong sized floppy, the second time, there simply was no floppy drive thing. I was trying to stick it into the USB hole.
wow….smart move there
u+Floppy+USB Port=epic fail
lmao… Tiggy you fail at life.
Floppy Disc? No that’s my coaster. I’ve been using it since the cup holder built into my broke!
DOH! I mean “built into my computer broke!”
ROFL. nice. that’s the DISK DRIVE. xD
I think that’s my friend Claudia. I’m definitely going to ask her if she’s retarded enough to do that.
I just noticed that there’s no such thing as a lappy accepting floppy discs.
Lots of laptops accept 3.5’s, I hope you were referring to 5 1/4
You’re probably 5 years old then … because not THAT long ago … practically all laptops had floppy drives.
STAGED PHOTO…
do those count?
Wow, isn’t she HOT!!!???
Anyway, good luck finding an external 5 1/4 with a USB connector!
man… im only 15 years old and i still use floppies… all the computers in my school got replaced though so now i have to use a flash drive… i have a shelf full of floppies… guess theyr gonna be thrown out soon… rofl.
[...] ¡Descubriendo! [...]
Yeeeaaaaahhh…Good luck with that…XD
Brings back old memories for me, mostly of playing Oregon Trail in elementary school. Good times…
Unable to insert floppy disk. Lose five days.
is that The Lemonade Stand? if so, i’d drop that laptop and find me an apple ][e
5 1/4″ are epic! I used those and I’m 17.
I remember when I used to use those when I was little to play games on my aunts computer. And I’m 18btw
Floppy disk goes WHERE?!
Lol at 5 1/4’s
She’s a cutie
They quit putting floppy drives in laptops YEARS ago – i mean before 2000 really… and that one is a somewhat recent one too… FAIL. She might even wonder about the software for a flash drive…
what’s funny is the fact that she looks WAY too young to have used one of those before.
I’d be more confused over WHY someone even gave me a floppy disc, unless they were trying to be nostalgic. Although this does remind me of the time my dad accidently called one a “floppy dick.” XD
I love floppies. I used to use them when I was a kid and had an old crappy Windows 98.
lol wtf… what antique shop did she get THAT from?
Ebay…?
wow lack of Windows NT fail lol
Bwahahahaha! That girl’s an old woman before her time.
And she’s ginger.
This makes me think of those floppies that were was big as my head I saw in the movie War Games.
Ah, 51/4″. Almost before my time. Way back when, I learned Apple Basic on Apple II’s, which used those.
I used 3.5″ers constantly through to high school, transporting info from home to school and vise-versa. But you know, if you fold the floppy JUST RIGHT…you ruin your data
mmm shes sexy D;
Shoot, I remember when Texas Instruments first came out with the small version of progrmmable computers. The ONLY inputs were the power cord and the keyboard! (How old am I?)
omg the 5 1/2″ floppy! yes!….
Haha, I’m 17 And I remember Using 3.5’s for all my games.
But I -never- used a 5 1/4 for anything (though I have one I scavenged from an old medical computer, It’s useless without the OS.)
And yes, They DID used to put floppy drives in laptops, but only 3.5in ones, 5 1/4 was like 15 years before that.
lmao, I have that exact laptop. =D
AHA
This picture has been on failblog before…. FAIL!
I love how everyone is pointing out the fail that she is trying to use the 5 1/4 floppy in a laptop, but nobody has pointed out the fail that the laptop is a Gateway!
Ginger Fail!
I had an AOL 1.0 installation floppy that I had formatted and used for most of grade school and high school. But it broke it my senior year… *tear* it was so freak’n awesome though.
Stock photo of a lame concept.
nice pictures
