The fact that you see this triangle as a FAIL is dumbfounding me. The TRIANGLE will not resonate with a sound it the triangle is completely connected. Therefore for this triangle to be an instrument at one corner the two sides do NOT meet. I fail to see the fail in this.

that is the dumbest thing ive ever heard. Cymbals can “mimic” a sound of a triangle, but they dont make the same noise AT ALL! thats like saying you can use a harp to replace a guitar. FAIL!

I am in band and any percussion instrument is difficult to play. Don’t diss anyone who can play music in the first place. reading rhythms is harder than u think. and yes you have to read music to be able to play the triangle. so hope you think about that the next time you make a “gay” remark about it. after all, orchestrated music is the only music there was years ago and if it wasn’t for that, we’d have nothing to listen to now and there would be nothing to develop from.

The kid playing the triangle is a douche, and will not get any boy on girl action while he plays it. Yes is is a douche for playing the triangle. The outfit doesn’t help either. Yup, this is a fail.

In his defense, we all make douchey mistakes when we are young, and hopefully he will see the douchebagery and be able to change. Once he starts liking girls, he will probably see the error of his ways, start playing a sport, or doing drugs. Both if he is lucky.

A triangle player is always a douche. Whether it be a teen in a school band, college student, casual triangle player, or famous concert triangle player. They all = douchebag. If you can’t see this, chances are you are a d-bag yourself.

It’s not funny. I was supposed to play the drumset in my school’s jazz band, but the conductor made me play the Kongo because there were too many drummers. This is not funny at all. Trust me, i know how this kid feels. This is not at all a fail.

Coming from a drummer, (3 years Jazz/Metal). The triangle is not complex at all. There are rarely off times, strange/awkward rudiments, or anything complicated about it. It’s used to accent transitions mainly (from a verse to a chorus for example) which means you’re generally playing in 4/4 time..

I am under the impression that the person who called this a “Fail” was referring to the fact that the Triangle is not complete; that there is a break in it. That is in fact the design of the triangle. It is not supposed to be whole.

Just because the kid’s playing the triangle doesn’t make it a fail. For example: Normally, in my school’s marching band, I play the Xylophone, Vibraphone, or Marimba, all of which are quite difficult to play. However, for one marching show we did, they didn’t want any mallet instruments, so they put everybody that played one on a drum (Snare drum, bass drum, or tenor drum). However, they ran out of drums by the time I was ready to get one, so they put me on cowbell instead. Yes, I get to play the cowbell in marching band.
