Looks like someone else is as amused at the Valley Fair food court as I am.
theres a plexiglass thingy you can see that would wind up amputating you if you flailed your arm around, which explains the sign. Could use some better design though

These signs are ubiquitous in Japan.
These plexiglass signs were made so you hit your head and duck out before you get stuck in the tight corner between the ceiling and escalator and get seriously injured

Its not fake. I have seen it. It is in Manila Greenbelt three going up to the cinemas. I always though it was ridiculously stupid.
tim Allen could have used one of those for home improvment.
Its hard to tell, but it could just look like that the sign is right above the escalator and it could actually be out of the way.
I may be wrong but I think the fail is that w/o the sign being there, there would be no need for warning.

Obviousness fail
Yeah, it’s shopped; You can tell by how the edges of the sign are so sharp, and how the lighting in the room is different from that of the sign (although whoever made this did a good job of matching it up).
Also, there is nothing apparently holding up the decorative metal bracing that holds the chain that is linked to the sign; unless there is somekind of thin metal wire or a plexiglass type of thing (although it would probably have a reflection).
Uhh… It’s not photoshopped. I’ve seen it. Also, the sign is hanging off of a metal bar that it attached to the sign via chains. Stop trying to sound smart by saying everything is photoshopped!

You know what would be even funnier? If the little sign within the sign, had a tinier version of the big sign in it.

Well, i think that they are traveling on an escalator and going up, and the sign is for them, but still, fail, should have thought of a more creative way. i mean who is going to look to the side to see a warning about something that is ahead of them.

It’s a sign to prevent people using the escalator to stick out their head because there’s of the beam ahead. It’s more of a safety precaution.
actually there are similar “tools” installed near most of the Ayala Center malls’ escalators (those going up). Since most of the escalators are installed near a ceiling. some are cylindrical plastic tubes hanging near the ceiling. more like a clearance beam.
well, sometimes the builders don’t get it right…
Correct me if im wrong but it appears this photo is taken at a side view, which means people going up/down whatever way it is actualy cant see what it says unless they’re in the other escalator aisle or right next to it which would kinda make its warning useless.
