Dude, that thing is a Lockheed L1011 Tristar. RAF used to use them to carry tanks.
Someone must have shut the engine off pretty darn fast, because an engine like that would make the crate and its contents into confetti in short order.
On a more serious note: The people working on the tarmac around the plane wear some very efficient headsets to block out the engine noise, thats why they have little spirals painted on them; so you can see when the engine is turning. Things like this happen ALL THE TIME…. Someone just lucked out on this photo.
