classic shot! this site is on a collision course with becoming an instant classic and fan favorite!

  5. tappel says:

This seems to be from the movie A Christmas Story, which contains tons of FAIL. Many stupid Americans seem to like it way too much though. The movie is down right horrible.

    • A person says:

      shaddup….

    • no name says:

      that’s what i thought

    • obloodyhell says:

      > This seems to be from the movie A Christmas Story, which contains tons of FAIL. Many stupid Americans seem to like it way too much though. The movie is down right horrible.

The movie/book is about a child’s eye view of childhood in the late 40s. It has charm and subtle wit and has a great deal of fun poking at the foibles of both adulthood and childhood.

You are free to fail to grasp any of those things, and it’s clear you do exactly that, and in spades. Yes — FAIL on your part.

      In summary:

      1) You? FAIL
      2) Your brain? FAIL
      3) Your sense of humor? FAIL
      4) Your wit? FAIL
      5) Pretty much everything about you? FAIL

In short, the only thing you don’t FAIL at? Being a loser.

      • bree says:

altho the movie is good the first time you see it any more than five time and it is pretty stupid and annoying

    • Joe Smith says:

      I agree

  6. Stupid American says:

    haha! “tappel” fails at funny.

  7. [...] Awesome, FailBlog put my FAIL picture up. [...]

  8. patmfitz says:

  11. Don says:

    I did that!!!!!

  12. OMFG peeps will critique ANYTHING says:

tappel, A Christmas Story is based explicitly on American middle class culture from a certain era, not surprising you wouldn’t get it.

  13. antoniosou says:

    it’s such a nice picture!!

  14. Anti-Tappel says:

How does Tappel know how much failure is in that movie unless he watched it a few dozen times? Plus it “seems” to be from the movie? “Seems”? What a jackass

  15. daan says:

This is a scene from a dutch movie. No fail.

    • titaniumspork19 says:

Wow. You absolutely FAIL at trying to sound knowledgeable to all the Americans who read this site and KNOW it’s a screenshot from The Christmas Story. If it was recreated in a Dutch movie, fine. But this is definitely from The Christmas Story.

  16. Anonymous says:

    fake

  17. JG says:

It’s from ‘A Christmas Story’. There’s a small hole in the pole & the tongue is held to the pole via a vacuum

  18. Cold says:

What a retard. Who licks poles?

  19. CJ Tha Kid says:

    Mighty Ducks? Probably fail.

    |the kid|

  20. blahblogger says:

It is from a Christmas Story….an American movie. No fail, just great.

  21. the masked idiot says:

um this image is from a film. i think fails are only funny if they are real

  28. this isn’t a fail, it’s a win

  29. PDWillman says:

    Double Dog Fail!!!

  30. Paige says:

well its staged duh. y would it b fail if its staged?

  31. Mike says:

This is technically staged as it is from a movie. The worst movie ever created I might add (A Christmas Story if memory serves well). It is about a kid who wants a gun for christmas and harasses everyone about it.

  32. JC says:

for seriously guys?! this is not a fail

  33. jeremy says:

You failed this is from a movie

  34. Izzy says:

  36. solo piano says:

OUCH!! i do not recommend this to anyone FAIL

  37. PersonGuy says:

This is just a pic from the movie “A Christmas Story”
    fail FAIL

  38. tiltawirl says:

The kid in the movie “A Christmas Story” did not actually get his tounge stuck to the pole. I saw the making and there is somone’s arm in the pole pulling the boys (Flick) tounge. So this fail is a FAIL!
