  1. Chris says:

They’re only funny if they’re real.

  2. OMFG peeps will critique ANYTHING says:

    Wrong.

    Chris fails.

  3. Blappy says:

That about sums up the whole Space Shuttle Program. LOL!

  4. Georgiana says:

That’s awesome. Our orange kitty sits and watches our pet rats like he’s watching television. Or a tennis match on TV perhaps.

  5. Georgiana says:

Eep! Wrong comment thread. I fail!

  6. Psestos says:

Well, Wrong way, straigth on the floor, like Mr Bush in Iraq.
Hope you’ll get a brainy president next time.
God save america, and dont’ mind the sort of rats who came in America n’ pretended to be French President : it’s a guy we dropped off after he tried to convince us he was the natural son of Lafayette and Bonaparte the first.
Best regards America, Salutations cordiales from France…

  7. Anonymous says:

Was the space shuttle program outsourced? Someone must have misunderstood the “back pack” concept.

  8. Yahriel says:

    It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to…

  9. Hunter says:

I don’t see the problem? Isn’t that how they’re launched? National Aeronautics and Photoshoping Administration.

  10. debasteitor says:

    NICE CAT… WHAT A SEC… I FAIL!!!

  11. FakeFail says:

Chris is right. These fake fails blow.
    Anyone can photoshop.

  12. zoey says:

    Whaa? I don’t get it

  13. Anonymous says:

you are all stupid. NASA actually launched the space shuttle pangea the wrong way in 1994. 6 men and women were lost. the government covered it up.

  14. Jason Dragon says:

Yea I agree….you should remove faked photos. It undermined the credibility of the entire blog.

  15. Nixie says:

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist. It takes a 3-year-old. Makes me wonder who we’re employing to put shuttles on the right way………………………

  16. Matt says:

LMFAO! even if that is a photoshop, its still uber mega epic fail, anyone who has the time and energy to make that good of a fake deserves a pat on the back.

    • Malfeasant says:

it’s not that good of a photoshop though, look at the outline around the shuttle… still, a good joke nonetheless.

IMHO, obvious fakes can be just as entertaining as real misfortunes if they’re original, but what do I know from funny?

    • merchillio says:

Come on! That’s a very lame photshop job. It’s not a pat on the back they deserve but a punch in the stomach

  17. Sam888 says:

    worst. photoshop. ever.

  18. andrew says:

“..even if that is a photoshop…” really?

  19. Zhar says:

    *lmao @ Jason Dragon*

  20. Sylderon says:

This picture is so incredibly stupid. I have to agree with the others that blatant fakes like this make the entire site less funny.

  21. alex says:

I’m amazed that nobody’s realized that Photoshop or no, this would not be a fail but would work just fine. Not as well as the right way, but it wouldn’t fail.

    • Christo says:

Er, no. Most of the shuttle’s thrust comes from the engines ON the shuttle, not the solid rocket boosters. You see the giant fuel tank bolted to the orbiter? That’s for the shuttle engines. Why? Because it needs those engines to reach orbit!

Pics like this shouldn’t go up in the first place. They’re just… sad.

    • andrew says:

thrust issues aside, aerodynamically the shuttle would break apart, not unlike the challenger

  22. Tim says:

a pathetic photoshop, does anyone actually believe that this mistake is possible to make. I think someone would notice well before it was rolled out. and alex you are a fail. even if the shuttle didn’t provide most of the thrust (which it does) it still wouldn’t work for so many reasons one of which is if you fired both shutle and solid boosters it would just end up spinning end on end

  23. Anonymous says:

    Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaakeeeeeeeeeee
    remove, please

  24. Tiffany says:

    photoshop

  25. frostey says:

    three… two… one… BLOWUP!

  26. Kyle says:

Damn, my Grandpa Should not have retired, we wouldnt have shit like this on the Space Shuttle. Damn Noobs.

  27. Kyle says:

    Double post.
    I know its a fake.

  28. Suz says:

Yup, photoshop fails are pants. That’s what worth1000.com is for

  29. Anonymous says:

    Come on, people!

So an image is photoshopped. Who cares? We can still laugh at it.

And then we can laugh at whoever had the time to do this.

  30. haakondahl says:

Not even good photoshop. Perspective all wrong.
Fails twice–once for trying, and once for failing.
This is failblog, not funnyblog, not photoshopblog.

  31. soddinnutter says:

    NASA is American. It shows.

  32. psychonaut says:

Is this photoshopped? I couldn’t tell.

  33. Kyle says:

    soddinutter
    are you retarded?
Europe fails even worse with their rockets.
    And China
    and Russia

  34. anonymous says:

Obviously fake, yet the image concept is funny. ^^

  35. blindmanpb says:

Not sure what fails more – the quality of the photoshop, or the people who think the majority of the thrust comes from the space shuttle main engines.

  36. GatorSpaceGeek says:

Right idea on the External Tank (ET), wrong engine destination. The ET has fuel for the Solid Rocket Boosters (SRBs) to provide the continuous thrust needed to reach a height that would allow the Shuttle to reach low earth orbit. The Shuttle engines are used from launch, but are not the primary power source for launch.

But I agree, this pic is a twofail. Photoshop fail and Posting fail. Too badly done and too obviously faked.

    • DJB says:

Fuel explanation fail. The Solid Rocket Boosters (AKA Solid Rocket FUEL Boosters) are packed with, oh what was that now, Oh yeah, Solid Rocket FUEL. The external tank feeds the shuttles main engines. That’s why the SRBs continued to burn and fly in different directions when the Challenger blew up. They had to be remotely destroyed or they would have continued in uncontrolled flight.

  37. i forgot says:

Our tax dollars put to good use.
    – probably designed by bush

  38. FAILpersons says:

Hahahahahha………….da’z good, but all you are wrong. You fail. THe thing would take off, then when the booster falls off and the rocket takes off by itself, only then would you crash and burn (at the same time)

  39. FAILpersons says:

    ^—–Check out my cool picture!(%)yinyang

  40. Devon Nelson says:

wow this is a terrible job of photoshopping!!!!
you have to at least make sure it looks good…
plus they spend billions of dollars on space shuttles, i am pretty sure that they will not do something that dumb

  41. dustin says:

it’s photoshopped. they wouldn’t make a mistake like that

  42. dan says:

that is a major photshop fail. you can even see the original shadow that shows it was originally normal. how is that allowed? i coulda done a better job..then again, i would hope so since i did major in graphic design

  43. Zach Sherman says:

That’s impossible because there are two fuel pipes at the wings and one pipe at the nose. The shuttle wouldn’t be able to hold on in a position like that.

  44. F417 says:

Pretty obvious photoshop because of the shadow…

  45. zzzz779 says:

DANM I ALWAYS DID IT THE WRONG WAY WELL I GUESS I COULD START DOING IT RIGHT FROM NOW ON

  46. sam says:

    failshop

  47. Psycho-Tic says:

uh Huston… not to be a nagger or anything but or shuttle’s kind of… upside-down…

  48. dr_Luke says:

dude, i can photoshop better than that with my left nut.

  49. Drunkencookies says:

take it down it’s fake i only like wasting my time with real fails thank you

  50. SilentWitness says:

That has got to be a photoshop. NASA would never be THAT stupid…would they?!

  51. cam says:

some one put photoshop fail and repost it!

  52. DR Mac says:

The Soviets ACTUALLY did that with their orbital battle station “Polyus”, it failed to turn around and crashed.See Astronautix.com Polyus page

  53. theguythattypes says:

This is photo shopped he posted how he did it on youtube even when he uploaded it cheek it out:

  54. theguythattypes says:

    Damn I failed…

  55. solo piano says:

i recall watching this on TV, the space shuttle went right through the ground!

  56. rockthumper says:
