  1. davewasson says:

Is no one commenting because this isn’t funny, but rather incredibily depressing?

    • lol says:

That your contrey failed for six years

      • that random guy says:

Or that you failed to spell correctly. And it really hasn’t.

        • lev says:

nah, only your gov! Honestly your peps are cool and all, the country is great to take a vacation, but get rid of this moron please and don’t behave like the restt of the world is crap. that’s all.

          • Prototype1207 says:

            spelling fail

          • jj says:

lev, partially true WIN. A lot of times, we have major Gov’t fail. Unfortunately most gov’ts are somewhat corrupt. the US is no different. Gov’t FAIL. US awesomeness WIN.

            • aaron says:

you people are retards. bush didn’t lose. the war on terror was over 5 years ago. right now we’re just keeping the people in iraq safe until they can take care of themselves. the war was a success.

              • aaron says:

besides. this picture is just a crappy photoshop. dont accuse bush of crap if you dont even know what you’re talking about and the best you can come up with against him is a crappy photoshop and a few people that get mad becausebush cut our taxes and is actually keeping you from paying extra stuff to the government.our government has always been in debt anyway. every president has added debt to the country every time they were president since kennedy. plus every country in the world excpet for third party countries are in debt too. so keep your mouth shut unless you have something real to say.

                • Someone from a galaxy far, far away....... says:

Three pages of political text fail.

                • Hissori says:

I’d have to say that YOU fail in your comment. Bush has put us in more debt than any other president we’ve ever had and in general just fails! More than half the country agrees!
I personally don’t feel like arguing about this much at the moment, but fairly ignorant republicans bug me.
The war was NOT a success, and Bush didn’t even give us valid reason to start the war. Every piece of evidence he and the government presented in favor of the war has been proven false and/or forged.

                  • Personification says:

                    I blame Cheyney.

                  • OgreF16 says:

Actually, Bush finally did something after 10 years of failed U.N. sanctions were violated and the rest of the world (UN) refused to enforce it’s own resolutions. I spent more time flying over airspace watching people on the ground get killed and being shot at every day, not being able to do anything about it during the entire Clinton Administration. Congress voted to go to war… it wasn’t a unilateral decision by Bush. “I voted for the war before I voted against it”… Sound familiar? Democrats seem to forget that we haven’t been attacked since 2001… that is definately a WIN.

                    • Jpeter says:

Congress hasn’t formally declared war since 1941.

                      • can you believe this guy says:

it was 1942 when they declared to enter WW2 first of all. and second congress has signed documents permitting every engagement from then on

                    • REPSUCK says:

Jackasses more US interests have been attacked since bush than any other pres. before 9/11 the last attack was the world trade center.

                  • Jackson says:

Really, no valid reason? How about 3,000 people dying as they flew two airplanes into the two towers. No reason, ignorant liberals trying to blame everything on republicans diguets me.

                    • just me says:

um….the Iraqis never flew anything into our buildings…..hello….remember that other guy? HINT: Not Sadaam Hussien. George was only going after the guy who shot his paw. Iraq was a MAJOR distraction.

                      • LOLmeister says:

                        EPIC FAILAGE
This is a fail website. ALL GOVERMENTS ARE FAIL. ENGLISH,
                        US, RUSSIA, EVERYONE.
So stop this political failing about fail speech and other fail stuff
and lets get back to fail.

                      • obloodyhell says:

                        > um….the Iraqis never flew anything into our buildings

                        Correct.
Do you know who operated three of the six known terrorist training camps in the world in 2000?
Do you know who operated the ONLY one of those six camps which had an actual airframe (i.e., a grounded plane, with operational interior) for the use in training terrorists in plane takeovers?
Do you know who offered the families of the 9/11 terrorists each US$100k as a reward for their actions?
Do you know who weapons inspector and Iraq-war opponent Hans Blix said would be able to produce both botulism and anthrax toxins within 180 days of the end of sanctions?
Do you know who used chemical weapons on the Kurds, demonstrating a complete willingness to use such weapons on his enemies?

ONE MAN fits the above bill. He’s dead, now, because he refuseed to step down, or, earlier, to even allow weapons inspectors in to see that he ACTUALLY did not have WMDs.

This man would, lacking the war, have had WMDs for about 4 years now, and had openly supported terrorists attacking the USA.

Do you REALLY believe, to the point where you want to risk HUNDRDS OF THOUSANDS OF LIVES, that Saddam would NOT have supplied such WMDs to terrorists in an attack against the USA?

Are you that *stupid* that you want to take that risk?

                    • Mky says:

That didn’t really happen. It’s just fake. Just like the holochaust in WW2. There were no workcamps in WW2. Atleast that’s what ALOT of people say. So why should I believe you Americans and your so-called “Terrorist-attacks”?

                      • can you believe this guy says:

are you kidding? i hope your kidding because if your not you are apart of the dumbest most ignorant part of society. people like you believe in eugenics don’t you psychotic Fascist scum bag?

                      • i bet you read in ebonics you nazi hypocritical beeeeotch. forget your facist ways and join america, we win more wars than you ;) also…..you spelt holocaust wrong you dumb$hi+ beaner…holochaust? common dumb@$$ didnt your illegal mother at least teach you how to spell?? what happens when the cops come a knockin and ask you to write your name? mky? i think you mean marky or mikey? dumb$hi+

                  • obloodyhell says:

                    > but fairly ignorant republicans bug me. The war was NOT a success, and Bush didn’t even give us valid reason to start the war. Every piece of evidence he and the government presented in favor of the war has been proven false and/or forged.

Whereas **totally** ignorant Dems parroting the party lies (sorry, “line”) on this disgust me.

You need to actually go look at the SotU address where he detailed the points in question in favor of it, and do an actual analysis of where he was incorrect (and that’s STILL not the same thing as LYING, I’ll point out, as is the Lefty mantra). Or just go look at some of theee more credible right-wing sites that have already done so.

Hans Blix, HARDLY a Bush supporter, has acknowledged that, within 180 days of the end of sanctions, Saddam would have had BOTH botulin and anthrax in quantity. He’d already used such against his own Kurds, what imbecile thinks he would have hesitated to supply it to terrorists? Even WITH the supposed failure to find WMDs (and there IS evidence that he possibly took them out with Russian/Syrian help), that alone is reason to consider SAddam to have been a jmajor threat to the USA.

Further, it didn’t matter — he was openly in violation of the agreeements HE signed in order to stay in power in the first place. So he no longer had any right to stay in power, and it doesn’t pay to allow trumped up two-bit thugs to thumb their noses at you for too long.

                  • Murron Paeth says:

Are you one of those retards who voted for Obama? Because if you think Bush put us in debt, it’s NOTHING compared to what that idiot in the White House now is doing.
We won the war, now we’re keeping the Iraq people safe and they LIKE it. Why would we pull out? Because Obama wants to be a wimp.

Don’t hate on Bush, pretty please? Honestly, it’s getting incredibly OLD.

                  • qwert says:

“More than half the country agrees!” isn’t that the band wagon failacy?

                  • Kalel says:

You know what’s funny? Less than a year from the day you posted this the new liberal president put us in more debt in his first five months than Bush did in his first five years. You want to complain about a president putting us in debt, lets see you do it when its a liberal.

                  • Truth says:

Ah I wonder how this person now feels after voting in the President that doubled the amount of debt that Bush put us in, but in half the time.

                • milkyway says:

Thing is, Clinton managed to balance the budget…unfortunately, Bush
managed to screw it all up.

                  • anonymous says:

that manwhore??? did you know that he shut down LAX airport once
just to get his hair cut on the tarmac (also for idiots, that means
runway)? and that this cost an estimated $270,000 to the taxpayers
(I.e. the same taxpayers being held up in the airport by this jackass)

                  • ben says:

no, actually the thing is clinton had the oppurtunity to take care of Bin Ladin, but didnt, so before you go blaming everything on Bush remember clinton shares at least half of the blame

                  • T says:

The Clinton comment is a complete fail simply because of stupidity. Clinton didn’t “balance” the budget. He put it into a surplus. Anyone who knows absolutely anything about economics knows that when the budget is at a surplus it has to start dropping again. The drop in the economy was not COMPLETELY Bush’s fault. It is economic flow and it is a guaranteed thing. Sure Bush didn’t make the best decisions as President. I disagree completely with the prolonged “conflict” in Iraq. We had no authority from Congress to make it a war it was merely a military effort and it shouldn’t have lasted as long as it did. It was mainly a result of fear of terrorism which is of course, a justified fear. The conflict has cost us a lot but hello, Clinton was an idiot with government spending as well. The fact of the matter is that its no individual’s “fault” that our government’s budget sucks. So get over yourselves none of you know what you are talking about.

                  • BudT says:

And Obama is absolutely trumping Bush’s spending and further F$(*ing up Clinton’s balanced budget.

                • d says:

aaron = EPIC common sense F-A-I-L…. Brainwash EPIC WIN

                  • can you believe this guy says:

man i wouldn’t be talking about who “fails” and who “wins” because that whole sentence was a symptom of american mainstream “counter culture”. so who’s the brainwashed one now wanker

                • Toa McKai says:

Hey, what are Third party countries?

i guess you need to go back to school dude

                • Bob B says:

So then in your belief the “Mission Accomplished” speech of Bush’s meant the war on Terror is over???? I think all the soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan might see it differently. Why not just admit that Bush made a huge mistake instead of trying to rewrite history. And I think that neither you nor anyone else will make me “keep my mouth shut” as long as the first ammendment exists. In case you don’t know, that comes right before the second ammendment that most concervatives get such a hardon about.

                  • can you believe this guy says:

first off who’s re-writing history? second the dead soldiers in iraq and afghanistan wont think of anything their DEAD!!! third if they were to some how come back and tell you what they think i think that they wouldn’t have wanted their death to be in vein. forth who’s trying to “keep your mouth shut” you foolish, self-indulgent, prick. and fifth and finally do you even know all the laws outlined in the first amendment? it isn’t just the freedom of speech you know nothing idiot. there are four other freedoms outlined religion, press, assembly, and petition you imbecile.

                • Tarenrack says:

                  Capitalization fail.

                • AJ says:

When Bush came into office in 2000 he had a surplus thanks to Clinton…. aaron= facts fail

                • Anonymous says:

You voted for Bush, didn’t you?

                • Bush says:

                  Weapon of mass my ass…
                  An epic fail

                  • jonh says:

we (the U S A ) gave them the materials and tech to build the “wmd” in the 80s during their war with Iraq we also gave them 12 f 14s without the targeting tech none of that equiptment was found in the “war” ????? hummmm wonder what happened to that stuff?

              • ryan says:

fail fail rofl i cant help but roflmfao at that comment ! wow,..
                do you actually believe yourself?

              • Guido says:

With American money. If someone else paid all YOUR bills, you’d be hesitant to tell them to go away, right?

              • Tanner says:

Mm… protect the people of Iraq, hm? Starting out by bombing those same people beforehand, while Saddam wasn’t there. Sure, it was a show of force to Saddam, but did they REAAALLY need to use -that- much force?

I’m enjoying the fact that Obama’s taken over. Hopefully he’ll actually take the troops out of Iraq.

On further note, now the U.S. is just meddling in international affairs: forcing democracy on the people, and such things. A governmental system can’t be FORCED onto the people: they have to accept it. Because last I heard? They didn’t want to have a new government.

And yes, it seems it was a success. Which costed several thousand lives to do.

KUDOS, AMERICA. You’ve become known to be bloodthirsty in war. That, or your gov’t just really likes blowing shit up.

                • OgreF16 says:

Well said by someone who obviously relies on others to keep him safe.

                • can you believe this guy says:

yeah your obama is put thousands of troops into afghanistan every year a few of which i have the honor of knowing and it became a national as soon as those terrorist animals crashed four different planes into our buildings and killing thousands. but no you liberals want to give these pricks the same rights as citizens which they aren’t give them a trial after admitting to what they were accused of

              • Fright says:

wow, this comment is almost disgusting. we’re “keeping the people in iraq safe until they can take care of themselves”…
yeah, sending our military to their country and slaughtering them definitely keeps them safer than they would be WITHOUT mass murder. i mean, there’s never been a time when countries like Iraq could actually continue existing without the help of a superior country like the ever-so-prosperous US and a destructive foreign military presence, has there? you’re right.

                • obloodyhell says:

                  > sending our military to their country and slaughtering them

Yeah, it’s OUR soldiers doing the suicide bombing, cutting people’s heads off, putting bombs in the corpses and then dumping them off where the family and friends will find them. Yeah, that’s the USA doing that. Your *head* is one great massive FAIL. Idiot.

              • KEVON says:

Actually, we didn’t win the war on terror. We won the war in IRAQ, and captured captured hussein. We’re fighting the war on TERROR in Afghanistan still .

              • KEVON says:

NO, IT WAS NOT ABOUT NINE ELEVEN!!!! At least not directly. After 9/11, the US became more aware of potential international threats, and since we thought Iraq was an international threat WITH WMDs, we invaded to prevent an even more devastating attack. BUT, we were wrong, so YES, it was a fail.

                • can you believe this guy says:

how were we wrong the UN conducted investigations and found these weapons of mass destruction that coupled with CIA intel prompted Bush along with the senate and the house to send troops over to iraq. also suddam husain was a psycho and needed to be taken out of power. i mean the man chemically bombed his own country for no reason and by the way chemical bombs are weapons of mass destruction. so yeah america did have probable cause to go to iraq

              • Ben says:

i totally agree with you aaron i think its a huge load of B.S. the stuff our media has put him through Obama has put is in a bigger hole within 2 months then Bush did in two Presidential terms, and i havent heard a negative word about Obama

              • zionistconspiracy says:

you wasted billions of dollars in iraq and sacrificed thousand of soldiers
this is not a “win” it’s a pyrrhic victory, and a pyrrhic victory is “FAIL”!

              • obloodyhell says:

                > the war was a success.

Precisely. Anyone FAILing to grasp this should look at how long the USA/Allies occupied Japan, Germany, and Austria (yes, *Austria*) following WWII. How long the North occupied the South after the end of the Civil War. And oh, yeah… are we out of South Korea *YET*??? The people who put these two memes together (“Mission accomplished” and “still in Iraq” in this manner are themselves the “FAIL”

                • Maravone says:

                  omfg…
You just made an epic argumentation fail.
                  i mean…

                lot of lulz from europe

              • General Custard says:

Just so you know you cant have a war on terror since terror is an emotion so there was no war we were just trying to get back at the terrorists and also i think iraq can take care of itself and i bet most of iraq agrees

Why is this funny if we don’t know what was accomplished? They aren’t talking about Iraq, and it is a boat… so navy or drive-by-boat shooting?

      • John says:

I think that everyone might be missing the point. (and i could be majorly wrong,) But what I am pretty sure is supposed to be funny is a much smaller part of the picture. (Look at the microphones, and then look at his tie.)

    • Thatoneguy says:

      More like because it’s a Photo-shop fail.

    • Jenni says:

It just isn’t that funny because, well, we all know where the U.S. has gone because of him: straight down the toilet.

LOL, ths was bush declaring victory 1 year into a war that is now 6 years and running

      • Anonymous says:

it was not him declaring victory it was the last mission for that ship he was on…DUH

      • Anonymous says:

You fail at both math and history. Bush declared victory about two months into a war that’s now a little over five years old.

        • Benson says:

Bush declared the end of military operations against Iraq. We’re no longer fighting Iraq, we’re putting down insurgencies. As CBS noted, Bush never actually used the words “Mission Accomplished”. The crew of the Lincoln placed the banner there to indicate the end of their 10-month mission. Bush said that we now had to get about the business of securing the country and rebuilding it. Putting down the insurgency was part of securing it.

Know what you’re talking about before opening you pie hole.

          • I hate Fox News says:

Ummm, yeah. “It’s not directly his fault”, “it was one of the cabinet people”, “it was Clinton’s fault”..blah blah blah.. same bs over and over. The president of our country, and I use that term loosely, is decrlaring “end of operations” after landing on the deck of a carrier in a publicity stund in front of a “mission accomplished” stars and stripes banner… are you fn joking? • Nullo says:

No, the war really was over that fast. The occupation, pacification, and reconstruction processes that followed are what took the remaining time.

We’ve been at war with iraq since before 9/11. What most people don’t really know is there was an attack on the empire state buildin in ’91 where terrorists bombed the parking lot. Pathetic, yes, but still. This war has been going on and off for over 18 years.

To say George Bush is not an American is to say that he isn’t a part of this country, dosen’t want to do what’s best for the nation, and could probably be deported if we wanted him to be, which simply isn’t true. Also, he’s better than Al Gore would have been.

    • that random guy says:

Gas has nothing to do with Bush. It’s environmentalists not letting us drill on our gold mine of oil or tap into the Alaskan pipeline. And if you’re going to go in the direction of being in the Middle-East, we don’t get our oil from the Middle-East. We get most of it from South America, mainly Venezuela.

      • Anon says:

About the picture, yes, the mission accomplished sign has absolutely nothing to do with Bush’s speech, but he still said some stupid things, such as declaring the end of “major combat operations” in Iraq. Since he gave that speech, US casualty rates in Iraq have risen much higher than before.

The sign itself is just an epic fail because everybody, and I mean EVERYBODY who saw that speech, connected that sign with what he said. It was simply a case of horrible planning.

      • anon says:

clearly you don’t know much. (1) More of our oil comes from the middle east than south america, (2) we use the Alaskan pipeline; what you mean is the ANWR. Drilling will not bring down prices–try learning something rather than spewing misinformed bs.

        Anyone ELSE suspicious?
They support nuclear energy… how do we KNOW they don’t have WoMDs?
(That’s Weapons of Mass Distraction, folks…)
We also get a fair chunk of our oil from Canada… I wonder what would happen if they ever decided to kick Exxon’s sorry ass out and start charging a premium price for the oil?
We’d invade for sure… unless it happens after Obama gets elected…

The idea for” Mission Accomplished” was set up as a backdrop by Bush’s P.R. people just as the lighting of New Orleans at nigh after Katrina was another famous backdrop done up for Bush even though the power there was not restored. Dude, get your head out of your ass. Who gave you that one, Rush Limbaugh?

  16. brother john says:

The banner referred to the carrier’s mission. The real failure here and what should be obvious to both sides of the debate, is that you can’t “end” a war by declaring it over. You can only win it or lose it. Those that think we can “end” the war now are advocating for us to lose it.

    • The True Patriot says:

It’s not a war, it’s an occupation. It’s an occupation that’s costing us lives, credibility, and the economic future of our country. If we have to, as you put it, “lose” this war, then so be it. We shouldn’t have started it, and so the sooner we finish it, the better. All of you righties can blabber on and on about your patriotic duty, but unless your rotting in a ditch somewhere in bagdad, you have no right to say this is a necessary war.

      • BeenThere says:

So, “True Patriot”, make assumptions much? I guess the obverse of your statement is true – If you are (or have been) in a ditch in Baghdad, you have the right to say that this is, indeed, a “necessary war”? I think if you polled the troops in ANY war, they would say they want to go home. But if you polled the troops in THIS war, you would find that they, by an overwhelming majority, would agree that it is necessary. And since by your logic they have the only opinion that counts, thank you for your support of the troops and their opinion that this is a most necessary war. And as for “Anonymous” – “…kicking our punk asses up and down the Middle East?”… July had the lowest number of Coalition casualties since the beginning of the war. And for those who wish to lie about the banner just to make the Commander in Chief look bad? You are lying about the US Sailors who put it there. Lying, indeed, about the troops most of you claim to support – I suggest supporting them, instead of just putting a little ribbon on your car that costs less than the freakin’ Starbucks coffee in the cupholder. And yes, I just got back from Baghdad; my 5th trip over since 2003.

First off, learn how to use You’re and Your correctly… Second, we didn’t start it, we have been flying over and massing on their border for the past 10 years… in case you forgot, we never left after the first war because Clinton wouldn’t make a decision to leave, or to actually enforce all the U.N. resolutions that said we would invade if he kept killing his own people and shooting at us. Since I know several people who never returned from Iraq, and I have rotted in ditches for 4 tours over the past 8 years, I have the right to talk about the war. The only thing Bush has really done wrong is to support the bailout. In that sense, I have to agree that policy is an absolute Fail.

I always laughed when condescending leftists/dems said they ‘supported’ us while walking over our backs to attack to our CinC. I don’t know which is more pathetic, that they do it, or that they don’t even seem to notice.

The men and women of the USS Abraham Lincoln accomplished their mission superbly, their mission was just, and 10 years overdue by the terms of the Gulf War Cease-Fire Agreement.

    • Sylderon says:

If you read your history, you’d know that after Desert Storm, the mission was accomplished. George H.W. Bush, Brent Scowcroft, Gen. Powell, etc. were smart enough to know that if they invaded Iraq, they would have to deal with what’s going on right now i.e. an endless occupation, a war of attrition that we can’t really win, and contempt from the international community.

I do support the troops, to the point that I don’t want to see them spill their blood unless absolutely necessary. I think that former NSC member Richard A. Clarke said it best:

[W]ith our Army stretched to the breaking point, our international credibility at an all-time low, Muslims further radicalized against us, our relations with key Allies damaged, and our soldiers in a shooting gallery, it is as hard to believe that America is safer for the invasion as it is to believe that President Bush had good intelligence on weapons of mass destruction or that “this country was threatened with Saddam Hussein in power.”

      • You're an idiot says:

What I can’t believe is that there are people that actually believe that Irag DIDN;T have weapons of mass destruction. If the UN hadn’t took their sweet time in demanding that inspections take place, Saddam wouldn’t have had the chance to move them.

If you truly believe that he NEVER had these weapons then you are either incredibly stupid or naive.

        • Epic Success says:

Yeah he had some. The ones we sold to him in the 80′s

          FAIL

        • Sylderon says:

Saddam didn’t move them, because there wasn’t anything to move. Almost a decade of highly-intrusive inspections by the UN eliminated any significant capability that wasn’t destroyed during the Gulf War. We have yet to find even a tiny fraction of what was claimed to exist before the war. Also, if Saddam had any of this, why didn’t he use it when faced with the destruction of his regime? He had nothing left to lose at that time, and, as it turns out, he had nothing to use. The only reason full inspections were delayed was because the inspectors feared for their own safety amid the growing likelihood of an American bombardment of the very facilities they were inspecting and disarming. He did have these weapons in the past, and used them with a wink and a nod from the United States against both Iran and the Kurds, and Reagan and Poppy Bush did nothing about it until he threatened the Saudis and Israel.

        • Ha, who's the idiot? says:

As already stated. The WMD’s that they had were sold to them by the US in the 80′s. Where’d he get the gas to kill the Kurds? Good ole USA.

Why do so many of you people choose to side with our enemies? Why is it ok now to hope and wish (and aid) that the US is defeated? I think its sad. And you people who constantly smear a good man like George Bush need to wake up. The man you all proclaim is stupid or a failure is now wrapping up his secind term as the leader of the free world. You are obviously smarter, so what have you accomplished?

    • The True Patriot says:

Holy shit… wow… wow… wow… where to start? you just failed like… 18 times… wow wow wow… Ok, for one, Bush is an awful man, he subsidizes the rich while raping all future generations of Americans. He hires Blackwater mercenaries to do his dirty work and lies, bold-faced, to all of his people. Bush is nothing but an arrogant, washed up and mentally retarded prick.

Secondly, I don’t want the US to be “defeated”, I want the US to stop throwing away the lives of it’s proud sons and daughters. I want the US to stop wasting it’s lifeblood in war, and to mend it’s wounds at home. I want the US to stop it’s blood-lusting crusade and go for what really maters, the sovereignty and well-being of it’s people. That is what I want. That is what we liberals what.

I ask you, is that what the enemy wants? No? Then how are WE the enemy?

Just got back from my second tour. Epic fail. Anyone who says otherwise is just wrong. I won’t call them stupid, but ill-informed works well for me. To the conservatives who say we are fighting for anything other than profits, please answer me this: During my first tour in Iraq, I was given orders from my superiors to obey any orders given to me by Blackwater operatives, unless they explicitly broke the UCMJ. The only orders I was ever issued by these operatives were in regards to securing oil fields. A library, a school, and 3 hospitals were burnt to the ground in the time it took us to “save” 3 oil derricks we should never have been near (out of our official operating range). The people in the region were–understandably–pissed off about it. I work for the US, I bleed for the safety of the people there, not for the profit margins of a blatantly corrupt corporation.

We were out there not long ago. I was putting in showers and water heaters for KBR in some of their new corporate digs. Across the street was an Iraqi medical centre with a busted generator. Two Marines came over and asked us to help fix the generator because their translator and his son were in the hospital and needed power for some of the equipment. We were on a break, got up to go over there, and our ‘boss’ the KBR manager there told us if we left the site we would be sacked.

Iraqi civilians. Iraqi police. American Troops. All dying for Bush and his corporate buddies.

Yeah, but it might be a tad late in the game to do shit about it. I tell ya I still don’t know what to believe about this whole war, mostly due to the fact I was in middle school when 9-11 happened and I still hear numberless reasons or excuses. Some people say it’s about oil, some say it’s about defending freedom, some say it was about weapons of mass destruction, or something totally different. But the fact is being young here in the USA knowing full well that ME AND COUNTLESS OTHERS MY AGE HERE WILL MOST LIKELY PAY FOR A WAR that has done nothing but damage reputations, homes, and most importantly lives. With all this said I can certainly believe:
      1. Bush = Epic Fail
      2. Iraq = Epic Fail
      3. After 08′ election despite winner = Epic Fail

Sorry people. I don’t know and/or don’t care who you voted/will vote for, but there is no way in hell McCain or Obama will get our country out of this disasterous trench that has been dug within their possible four year or the potential eight year term. I do however know that my government has lied to me and will probably never reveal the truth. The Youth of America is certainly rigged and moving towards an non-preventable epic failure.

  35. csmaverick07 says:

Doesnt anyone actually remember this? The Mission Accomplished and “Cease of Major Fighting” was referring to the original actual mission, you know, the one to end the Iraqi Regime which was responsible for thousands of lives taken in an effective genocide of the kurdish people? Even if this administration and the entire war was created due to corporate corruption, at least the we ended a modern day reign of terror by that of Saddam Hussein. Don’t get me wrong, theres no way in hell we should still be there, but all of you who think we just get up and leave when we want are sadly mistaken.

  36. riu phane says:

OK, so now that everyone has bashed everyone else and failed to realize that Bush has been trying and that none of you could do any better (no I’m not defending him, I think he screwed up too), perhaps you should look at the fact that no matter what happens during a presidency, the president is going to get blamed, if it is his fault or not. Some are good, some are bad, and some will just be forgoten. a lot of the things people are blaming on bush are the result of the american perspective. as americans, our economy is crashing because of us, not bush. the war is still going on because it’s not done, not because we’re too chicken to say “I’m wrong”. I don’t like having all my friends over there dying, but if that’s not my choice, so I’m still going to support the troops. gas prices have NOTHING to do with the war. if they did, they’d be going down not up…
eveyone of you is arguing to no end about things that we can’t change. Yes, bush had done some things that NO ONE in america is proud of, but he’s almost out of office, so just deal with it till he is and hope the next president will be better…

  37. phoenix says:

Now let me ask everyone who is bashing the president this. Given the circumstances could you do any better? And if you do your probably an irrational egotistical blunder idiot. Gas and the economy have NOTHING to do with the war on terror or any other military campaign. The war, gas and the economy are all separate issues. While yes I suppose part of the presidents job is suppose is to be a scape goat and take blame for the state of the nation whether its fair or right or not it doesn’t matter it just is. He always gets blamed for everything that happens. A lot of people who are responsible for the state of this nation and its economy are just trying to spin everything off onto Bush and his administration because they realize that they fouled everything up, or at least did nothing to stop it. So everyone if you are going to argue and complain and whatnot fine, go right ahead I can’t and won’t stop your absurdity. I realize that this is an emotionally charged issue for any number of reasons, but people deal with it. He’s almost out of office so just sit tight and campaign for whoever you think can do a better job in ’09. Do something positive not negative waste time or energy on something you can’t change anyways. That’s it. I’ve already spent more than enough time on this nonsense.

  38. bart says:

It is the greatest fail of all time. But it is not really a funny fail, it is a fail of such magnitude, that is not funny anymore.

    Bush is Fail of America.

Hope the poeple of America dont fail the next election.

  39. Mitchillio says:

Why does the true reason behind the banner mean so much? The point is, seeing George Bush making that speech with “mission accomplished” right behind him gets across an idea that the US have finished the war on terror. Hence, epic fail. The 2 may not be related, but the overall image is a fail because it basically says “we’ve won”. Never mind all this crap about the carrier and the specifics of the speech, George Bush speaking about war on terror + “Mission accomplished” in background = EPIC FAIL. It’s like the image of the open magazine with “My sister accidentally killed herself” on one page and “Oops” on the other. The 2 are totally unrelated, but put together they create a fail.

  40. Fail says:

You all do realize the photo is fake don’t you? Someone pasted George Bush’s head on someone’s body… probably George Sr. from the end of the first Gulf War. It’s not even a good fake either.

  41. Neemund says:

According to a classmate of mine who once served on the USS Abraham Lincoln the mission accomplished banner is hung every time they return to home port after completing their mission/tour. So I’ve never understood how this picture could be considered a ‘fail’.

  42. megan says:

    did you typ all that

  43. Vard says:

omg… I seriously laughed for 2 minutes.. I could barely breathe

  44. J says:

nice photo shop moron nex time trim around his head closer

  45. aaron says:

This isn’t a fail. it’s actually just a really crappy photoshop so whoever made this is ther person who failed. besides people hang those banners after succesful missions. so don’t accuse bush of crap if the best you can come up with is a very crappy photoshop.

    • Axel says:

Wow dude, way to copy two of the posts above you (Fail Oct 11, Neemund Oct 21)… next time try to make an original comment. Fail :p

  46. ryan says:

  47. Anon Billy says:

Your wolves have been in the white house for eight years… feasting on the sheep, bathing in their blood, killing the lambs for fun and profit. Still sheep like yourself insist these wolves are sheepdogs, despite their wolfish behaviour. These wolves call themselves sheepdogs, whilst pointing at real sheepdogs, foreign wolves and even your fellow sheep, and insisting them wolves.

Any sheep who looks at the wolf and screams wolf, is called a wolf by the wolf. You echo the cry, because you are a sheep.

    Baa Ram Ewe.

  52. incayum says:

xD ok I’m from Germany… and I’m not going to say that the USA failed because the country isn’t at fault for what its President does. I also doN
n’t think that THE us-americans failed because I know that not everybody in a country is so stupid to elect someone like Georg W. Bush. I just think it’s sad that he was actually elected TWICE and that still some people think that Bush jr was actually right with what he did. I read about half the comments and of course most of them are already a little bit older but for me as a german it’s extremly funny to read these arguments xD Well, it’s not like I can say that Germany is a good idol concerning crazy leaders… but, and now I have to quote a german comedian: “Thank you americans! For more than 60 years th world hated us Germans but since Bush attacked the iraq the world hates america more than us!” He said that on stage in New York and he wasn’t even killed fterwards…. And if I were an us-american I’d be really ashamed of Gearge W. Bush. But since Obama is now president I hope it’s going to get a better.
    Bush FAILS!!!

  53. chrisp says:

i cannot believe he was elected twice…twice…omg the morons in this country

  54. shore says:

{i}well, war always brings debt, and WHAT is federal debt? is it
truly worth anything? 9/11 hit me hard, this war did go for
    more than the time it took to capture Saddam{/i}

Not always true…America was the ONLY country in the world to benefit for world war 2

  55. comrade kevin says:

The whole Mission Accomplished thing was in fact welcoming the ship home from a recent tour in the gulf… but was an ironic lolz

  56. derek says:

well now the country is doomed, obama has put us in more debt in 2 months then in the last 8 years god help us and our country

  57. da man says:

    looks like its photoshopped

  58. LOLmeister says:

This is like the philosophy website I used to be part of
All political speech writers who have commentated about politics on this speech are FAILS. You hear me? FAILS

  59. Aaron says:

Does anyone realize this meant the SHIP’s mission was accomplished? Read the speech.

  60. Common Sense says:

    Epic liberal bias FAIL.

  61. Zack says:

Hm, the reason no one likes Bush is because of what he did in his 8 years as president.
Also, he kind of cheated the first election he ran for in 2000.
Nobody hear about that one? Well let me tell you.
Someone on his campaign election decided to find all of the African – American voters, in Florida I believe, that had been to jail, or found the people who were closely related to them, and made it so they couldn’t vote. Bush DID NOT WIN the 2000 election. He put pressure on the courts to make their decision. So really, Bush SHOULD HAVE lost the 2000 election. He DID lose it vote wise, not by much, but it still was a loss.

+ most of the Americans are viewed the way they are simply because of their hostility, (not everyone, but there are a LOT) and their pure ignorance.
In fact, I have strongly noticed over the past 8 years, America was starting to show the traits that are known to FASCIST countries/governments.
Lets hope Obama can pull America out of the hell hole Bush dug for you guys.

    • kevin says:

      really?
      are you being serious?
you say bush cheated, but you never really think about ACORN. how about kerry using people who had died? obama wont help. he stopped the production of the F-22 Raptor, a plane so fast that most SAM missiles cant stop it. his healthcare plan is socialist. if you need a pacer you are simply given painkillers untill you die and they give you a grief counseler. they dont pay for the surgery. obama is a full on socialist. hes pulling out of iraq right when things start to get better. i am not insulting your intelligence, simply your ingorance

  62. i love world peace and nice people. there’s more to life than governed civilization.
call me an extremist, call me a terrorist

  63. Epic says:

Wow! most epic fail of the site!- people believe this stuff eh?

you people are retards. bush didn’t lose. the war on terror was over 5 years ago. right now we’re just keeping the people in iraq safe until they can take care of themselves. the war was a success.

    aaron
    November 26th, 2008 at 8:44 am
besides. this picture is just a crappy photoshop. dont accuse bush of crap if you dont even know what you’re talking about and the best you can come up with against him is a crappy photoshop and a few people that get mad becausebush cut our taxes and is actually keeping you from paying extra stuff to the government.our government has always been in debt anyway. every president has added debt to the country every time they were president since kennedy. plus every country in the world excpet for third party countries are in debt too. so keep your mouth shut unless you have something real to say.

  64. douchebagl27 says:

What is so funny about that white guy? i dont get it someone please explain to me. I read all the comments and i still dont know what is going on. Please someone help me.

wow, your calling bush an idiot and you listen to green day? can you say poser liberal douche bag? be cause i can.

  74. Kalel says:

By the way, this isn’t a photoshop picture, the banner is referring to the specific mission these men and women were given, which was a success. US Military WIN!

  76. truth man says:

    You suck!

This anti-Bush website can’t seem to operate unless they’re either making up crap, or passing on the same altered photos that are the only thing liberals have going for them.

If truth were important, liberals could not have elected this useless bozo we now have.

  79. chase says:

well id certaintly rather have him back than gay obama

  80. jordan says:

President Bush 2 was the worst president in American history. I never would have thought that I would see a president worse than Hoover, Nixon or Reagan in my lifetime, but it just goes to show you how many people will make dumb decisions when afraid. Now I know some Repubs are gonna say, “but Reagan was a great president. He ended Communism and brought a new age of prosperity..blah…blah…blah….” Reagan sold out his country, put us into a horrible economic situation with his trickle-down economics, and gave Jelly-Belly jellybeans a bad name. Hoover was just G.W. before GW. I really think that Republicans can’t read because they actually believe that trickle down economics works. It has never worked and never will. FDR and his New Deal policy pulled us out of the Great Depression and that is exactly what we need now. That and a president with the balls to stand up to the GOP and pull out of a needless war in Iraq, pass universal health care with or without the GOP, and implement green energy technologies that could provide two million jobs in the next 3 years. If Obama had balls, he would end his administration with the highest job approval rating since Clinton left office. Oh and if any Repub wants to argue numbers, all he has to do is look at the approval numbers at the end of Bush’s reign. Pretty much a sixty point spread there between Clinton and Bush.

  81. Suyalus says:

    -3000 dead lives at 9/11
-thousands of dead soldiers in Iraq without reason
    -Bush is a big FAIL

    -> Mission Accomplished

  82. Michelle says:

    i dont get it.

  83. Ryan says:

For those of you who don’t get it, this speech was aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln in May if 2003. 2 months after the invasion in Iraq, Bush said quote….”all major military action in Iraq has ended.” Bush said the war was over 2 months after it started. He didn’t realize that a militia of mujiden would soon counter the occupying army…

  84. Shadus21 says:

Is this fail for having that complete moron get a second term in office, not having either of the so called missions completed, or both?

    • Whatever says:

The real fail is the president now in office. Obama and the democrat controlled congress are spending us down the hole. Bush may not have been good for foreign relations, but at least he looked out for Americans. Maybe Obama should look out for his country instead of trying to appease the U.N. All aboard for change! Next stop: socialism!

  85. Dustin says:

    Ya THINK?!?!?!

  86. some guy named gabbo says:

the war on terror was not won by the invaders, sure they managed to get rid of a dictator and wipe out some militants but they lost far more.

the world in general hate the american armed forces due to all the civillian casualties that have been observed throughout the war and the willingness to toture people that havent been proven to have done something wrong.

the armed forces in afghanistan are getting the crap killed out of them by people in caves, and if you think i am wrong about this then why are more an more troops being sent out to an alreadt “secure” part of the world

and you cannot blame president obama for the debt that has accumulated, consdering he has had to deal with an enormous debt and then have a financial crisis dropped on his table, and due to these unforseen circumstances he has had to delay on the promises that he has made.

and lastly america and the allied nations are never going to win the war simply because to do that they will have to wipe out an offshoot of a religion which will undoubtedly bring about reprisals from both a civil standpoint and a diplomatic standpoint.

    • can you believe this guy says:

First off your grammar and spelling are awful, and you speak of our military like they were barbarians needing to be tamed. Also the “civilian casualties” you speak of were probably militia that the media contorts to demonize the armed forces. The “tortures” your speaking of can’t be done and i assume the tortures your speaking of is the abu ghraib incident and that was an solitary mistake made by individuals that were punished for their actions. The person signing the orders and sending the men and women over to afghanistan is your precious Obama. Obama also has spent more then all of the other presidents combined. But i do agree that the war on terror is pointless you can’t fight an idea

  87. Brian says:

The “mission accomplished” was actually referring to the success of the USS Abraham Lincoln and its crew. The media and Bush’s opponents twisted this…anyone that thinks this is referring to the Iraq war is foolish…

  88. barry says:

    How is this a fail?

    • can you believe this guy says:

if “all war is a FAIL” as you so ignorantly put it then we would be english, still have slaves, and many of the states that we have wouldn’t be. you self-indulgent leftist prick

  89. jorge says:

omg u guys r idiots that is the u.s.s. intrepid. it was attacked by kamkazi attackers twice. in ww2. in was turned into a flosting mesuem and is in mannhaten now. george w. bush made a speech the day it came to NY. yes george bush is an idiot but the only person who failed the the guy who psted this

  92. Sam says:

  93. no1 says:

I CANT EVEN FIND A WORD TO DESCRIBE THIS GUY…damn

  94. Undecided says:

Um for people that still dont know… bush isnt the one who put up the sign. It was was the captain of the ship who put up the sign for mission accomplished because the crew of that specific airline carrier had completed a mission they were on. He just got associated with it because he was giving a speech to the crew and it just happened to be in the background. Misinformation is more fail than anything else

  95. All Failure says:
