nah, only your gov! Honestly your peps are cool and all, the country is great to take a vacation, but get rid of this moron please and don’t behave like the restt of the world is crap. that’s all.
lev, partially true WIN. A lot of times, we have major Gov’t fail. Unfortunately most gov’ts are somewhat corrupt. the US is no different. Gov’t FAIL. US awesomeness WIN.
you people are retards. bush didn’t lose. the war on terror was over 5 years ago. right now we’re just keeping the people in iraq safe until they can take care of themselves. the war was a success.
besides. this picture is just a crappy photoshop. dont accuse bush of crap if you dont even know what you’re talking about and the best you can come up with against him is a crappy photoshop and a few people that get mad becausebush cut our taxes and is actually keeping you from paying extra stuff to the government.our government has always been in debt anyway. every president has added debt to the country every time they were president since kennedy. plus every country in the world excpet for third party countries are in debt too. so keep your mouth shut unless you have something real to say.
I’d have to say that YOU fail in your comment. Bush has put us in more debt than any other president we’ve ever had and in general just fails! More than half the country agrees!
I personally don’t feel like arguing about this much at the moment, but fairly ignorant republicans bug me.
The war was NOT a success, and Bush didn’t even give us valid reason to start the war. Every piece of evidence he and the government presented in favor of the war has been proven false and/or forged.
Actually, Bush finally did something after 10 years of failed U.N. sanctions were violated and the rest of the world (UN) refused to enforce it’s own resolutions. I spent more time flying over airspace watching people on the ground get killed and being shot at every day, not being able to do anything about it during the entire Clinton Administration. Congress voted to go to war… it wasn’t a unilateral decision by Bush. “I voted for the war before I voted against it”… Sound familiar? Democrats seem to forget that we haven’t been attacked since 2001… that is definately a WIN.
Really, no valid reason? How about 3,000 people dying as they flew two airplanes into the two towers. No reason, ignorant liberals trying to blame everything on republicans diguets me.
um….the Iraqis never flew anything into our buildings…..hello….remember that other guy? HINT: Not Sadaam Hussien. George was only going after the guy who shot his paw. Iraq was a MAJOR distraction.
EPIC FAILAGE
This is a fail website. ALL GOVERMENTS ARE FAIL. ENGLISH,
US, RUSSIA, EVERYONE.
So stop this political failing about fail speech and other fail stuff
and lets get back to fail.
> um….the Iraqis never flew anything into our buildings
Correct.
Do you know who operated three of the six known terrorist training camps in the world in 2000?
Do you know who operated the ONLY one of those six camps which had an actual airframe (i.e., a grounded plane, with operational interior) for the use in training terrorists in plane takeovers?
Do you know who offered the families of the 9/11 terrorists each US$100k as a reward for their actions?
Do you know who weapons inspector and Iraq-war opponent Hans Blix said would be able to produce both botulism and anthrax toxins within 180 days of the end of sanctions?
Do you know who used chemical weapons on the Kurds, demonstrating a complete willingness to use such weapons on his enemies?
ONE MAN fits the above bill. He’s dead, now, because he refuseed to step down, or, earlier, to even allow weapons inspectors in to see that he ACTUALLY did not have WMDs.
This man would, lacking the war, have had WMDs for about 4 years now, and had openly supported terrorists attacking the USA.
Do you REALLY believe, to the point where you want to risk HUNDRDS OF THOUSANDS OF LIVES, that Saddam would NOT have supplied such WMDs to terrorists in an attack against the USA?
Are you that *stupid* that you want to take that risk?
> but fairly ignorant republicans bug me. The war was NOT a success, and Bush didn’t even give us valid reason to start the war. Every piece of evidence he and the government presented in favor of the war has been proven false and/or forged.
Whereas **totally** ignorant Dems parroting the party lies (sorry, “line”) on this disgust me.
You need to actually go look at the SotU address where he detailed the points in question in favor of it, and do an actual analysis of where he was incorrect (and that’s STILL not the same thing as LYING, I’ll point out, as is the Lefty mantra). Or just go look at some of theee more credible right-wing sites that have already done so.
Hans Blix, HARDLY a Bush supporter, has acknowledged that, within 180 days of the end of sanctions, Saddam would have had BOTH botulin and anthrax in quantity. He’d already used such against his own Kurds, what imbecile thinks he would have hesitated to supply it to terrorists? Even WITH the supposed failure to find WMDs (and there IS evidence that he possibly took them out with Russian/Syrian help), that alone is reason to consider SAddam to have been a jmajor threat to the USA.
Further, it didn’t matter — he was openly in violation of the agreeements HE signed in order to stay in power in the first place. So he no longer had any right to stay in power, and it doesn’t pay to allow trumped up two-bit thugs to thumb their noses at you for too long.
Are you one of those retards who voted for Obama? Because if you think Bush put us in debt, it’s NOTHING compared to what that idiot in the White House now is doing.
We won the war, now we’re keeping the Iraq people safe and they LIKE it. Why would we pull out? Because Obama wants to be a wimp.
Don’t hate on Bush, pretty please? Honestly, it’s getting incredibly OLD.
You know what’s funny? Less than a year from the day you posted this the new liberal president put us in more debt in his first five months than Bush did in his first five years. You want to complain about a president putting us in debt, lets see you do it when its a liberal.
that manwhore??? did you know that he shut down LAX airport once
just to get his hair cut on the tarmac (also for idiots, that means
runway)? and that this cost an estimated $270,000 to the taxpayers
(I.e. the same taxpayers being held up in the airport by this jackass)
well, war always brings debt, and WHAT is federal debt? is it
truly worth anything? 9/11 hit me hard, this war did go for
more than the time it took to capture Saddam
Great refer to the leader of our country as a manwhore and a jackass no wonder the world hates him, they see the lack of respect and decency of our people towards him and think that hes an asshole because of people like you.
no, actually the thing is clinton had the oppurtunity to take care of Bin Ladin, but didnt, so before you go blaming everything on Bush remember clinton shares at least half of the blame
The Clinton comment is a complete fail simply because of stupidity. Clinton didn’t “balance” the budget. He put it into a surplus. Anyone who knows absolutely anything about economics knows that when the budget is at a surplus it has to start dropping again. The drop in the economy was not COMPLETELY Bush’s fault. It is economic flow and it is a guaranteed thing. Sure Bush didn’t make the best decisions as President. I disagree completely with the prolonged “conflict” in Iraq. We had no authority from Congress to make it a war it was merely a military effort and it shouldn’t have lasted as long as it did. It was mainly a result of fear of terrorism which is of course, a justified fear. The conflict has cost us a lot but hello, Clinton was an idiot with government spending as well. The fact of the matter is that its no individual’s “fault” that our government’s budget sucks. So get over yourselves none of you know what you are talking about.
So then in your belief the “Mission Accomplished” speech of Bush’s meant the war on Terror is over???? I think all the soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan might see it differently. Why not just admit that Bush made a huge mistake instead of trying to rewrite history. And I think that neither you nor anyone else will make me “keep my mouth shut” as long as the first ammendment exists. In case you don’t know, that comes right before the second ammendment that most concervatives get such a hardon about.
Mm… protect the people of Iraq, hm? Starting out by bombing those same people beforehand, while Saddam wasn’t there. Sure, it was a show of force to Saddam, but did they REAAALLY need to use -that- much force?
I’m enjoying the fact that Obama’s taken over. Hopefully he’ll actually take the troops out of Iraq.
On further note, now the U.S. is just meddling in international affairs: forcing democracy on the people, and such things. A governmental system can’t be FORCED onto the people: they have to accept it. Because last I heard? They didn’t want to have a new government.
And yes, it seems it was a success. Which costed several thousand lives to do.
KUDOS, AMERICA. You’ve become known to be bloodthirsty in war. That, or your gov’t just really likes blowing shit up.
wow, this comment is almost disgusting. we’re “keeping the people in iraq safe until they can take care of themselves”…
yeah, sending our military to their country and slaughtering them definitely keeps them safer than they would be WITHOUT mass murder. i mean, there’s never been a time when countries like Iraq could actually continue existing without the help of a superior country like the ever-so-prosperous US and a destructive foreign military presence, has there? you’re right.
> sending our military to their country and slaughtering them
Yeah, it’s OUR soldiers doing the suicide bombing, cutting people’s heads off, putting bombs in the corpses and then dumping them off where the family and friends will find them. Yeah, that’s the USA doing that. Your *head* is one great massive FAIL. Idiot.
Actually, we didn’t win the war on terror. We won the war in IRAQ, and captured captured hussein. We’re fighting the war on TERROR in Afghanistan still .
NO, IT WAS NOT ABOUT NINE ELEVEN!!!! At least not directly. After 9/11, the US became more aware of potential international threats, and since we thought Iraq was an international threat WITH WMDs, we invaded to prevent an even more devastating attack. BUT, we were wrong, so YES, it was a fail.
i totally agree with you aaron i think its a huge load of B.S. the stuff our media has put him through Obama has put is in a bigger hole within 2 months then Bush did in two Presidential terms, and i havent heard a negative word about Obama
you wasted billions of dollars in iraq and sacrificed thousand of soldiers
this is not a “win” it’s a pyrrhic victory, and a pyrrhic victory is “FAIL”!
Precisely. Anyone FAILing to grasp this should look at how long the USA/Allies occupied Japan, Germany, and Austria (yes, *Austria*) following WWII. How long the North occupied the South after the end of the Civil War. And oh, yeah… are we out of South Korea *YET*??? The people who put these two memes together (“Mission accomplished” and “still in Iraq” in this manner are themselves the “FAIL”
I think that everyone might be missing the point. (and i could be majorly wrong,) But what I am pretty sure is supposed to be funny is a much smaller part of the picture. (Look at the microphones, and then look at his tie.)
they never declared a victory in the war on terror, idiot. the banner was reqested by the crew of the ship to celebrate the end of their 10 month deployment
Bush declared the end of military operations against Iraq. We’re no longer fighting Iraq, we’re putting down insurgencies. As CBS noted, Bush never actually used the words “Mission Accomplished”. The crew of the Lincoln placed the banner there to indicate the end of their 10-month mission. Bush said that we now had to get about the business of securing the country and rebuilding it. Putting down the insurgency was part of securing it.
Know what you’re talking about before opening you pie hole.
Ummm, yeah. “It’s not directly his fault”, “it was one of the cabinet people”, “it was Clinton’s fault”..blah blah blah.. same bs over and over. The president of our country, and I use that term loosely, is decrlaring “end of operations” after landing on the deck of a carrier in a publicity stund in front of a “mission accomplished” stars and stripes banner… are you fn joking? If you think that this was about the ship’s mission, I have some land to sell you in Alaska. This is EPIC FAIL.
So if we can stay there 3 more years, we will be there as long as we were with Clinton… or did you forget Clinton lobbed Tomahawk’s at the region every so many months to hide his incompetency in the White House for 8 years because he didn’t have the intestinal fortitude to actually stand up to Saddam.
We’ve been at war with iraq since before 9/11. What most people don’t really know is there was an attack on the empire state buildin in ‘91 where terrorists bombed the parking lot. Pathetic, yes, but still. This war has been going on and off for over 18 years.
The f ucking light deflectors man. Plus the Irony of this great celebration cause they managed to kill thousands of iraqis and returned home, hence ‘mission accomplished’
Idiots. The * * * C A R R I E R’S * * * mission was accomplished. But no, your cherished spin on a successful tour of duty for a Carrier group makes you feel so superior.
lol, “Real American?” FAIL, being a Bushist is not American, it’s retarded. Just because a bunch of dickheads got him elected doesn’t mean you have to throw yourself at him. Besides, this picture is Bush giving a speech declaring “Major combat operations” in Iraq to be over. Now, it’s been half a decade and, HEY, GUESS WHAT???? Guys in turbans are still kicking our punk asses up and down the middle east.
I agree completely. Not only has he ruined our worldwide credibility and engaged us in an unwinnable war against an abstract enemy, but he certainly has destroyed the interior of the US as well. Remember January of 2001, when the sonofabitch took office? Gas was $1.41 and I could still pay my college tuition and fees on my bartending pay. I think you’d have to go way, way back in history to find a president who’s done so little, and actually in some cases gone backward, with so much. Here’s hoping for Obama in November.
Gas has nothing to do with Bush. It’s environmentalists not letting us drill on our gold mine of oil or tap into the Alaskan pipeline. And if you’re going to go in the direction of being in the Middle-East, we don’t get our oil from the Middle-East. We get most of it from South America, mainly Venezuela.
Having visited other countries recently, I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that absolutely NOBODY likes him. He visited London while I was there on vacation and there were tons of protestors in front of the parliament building for his whole visit.
About the picture, yes, the mission accomplished sign has absolutely nothing to do with Bush’s speech, but he still said some stupid things, such as declaring the end of “major combat operations” in Iraq. Since he gave that speech, US casualty rates in Iraq have risen much higher than before.
The sign itself is just an epic fail because everybody, and I mean EVERYBODY who saw that speech, connected that sign with what he said. It was simply a case of horrible planning.
clearly you don’t know much. (1) More of our oil comes from the middle east than south america, (2) we use the Alaskan pipeline; what you mean is the ANWR. Drilling will not bring down prices–try learning something rather than spewing misinformed bs.
So far as I know, we’d still have a small problem of getting said oil (the Alaskan stuff) across Canadian borders…
Oh wait… don’t THEY have a bunch of oil sands now?
Hmm… and 90% of their population is amassed on the Canadian/US border…
Anyone ELSE suspicious?
They support nuclear energy… how do we KNOW they don’t have WoMDs?
(That’s Weapons of Mass Distraction, folks…)
We also get a fair chunk of our oil from Canada… I wonder what would happen if they ever decided to kick Exxon’s sorry ass out and start charging a premium price for the oil?
We’d invade for sure… unless it happens after Obama gets elected…
hahah ..there’s a good joke. the Canadian Army being led by Bob and Doug MacKenzie.. with General Red Green and his elite Duct Tape Brigade. I can see them now.. running along throwing beer cans and waving hockey sticks.
there. i’ve been waiting for this comment. bush does not have anything to do with gas. its the environmentalists, they have that much influence. hee hee.
“guys in turbans are still kicking our ‘punk asses’ up and down the middle east?” i wasnt aware that we are all bunch of “punk ass” americans… when was the last time you went to the middle east? last time i checked the score we were winning due to the fact that we have that ENTIRE pathetic country under our goddamn boot. maybe your “punk ass” needs to take a trip over there sometime and find out who is kicking who’s ass. earlier this year a US specops team with some help from about a company of Iraqi Army soldiers and, twards the end, a QRF element fron 25th ID with airs support killed 373 “guys in turbans”, and captured more than 400 “guys in turbans” who surrendered durring the “battle of the Soldiers of Heaven.” (http://www.armytimes.com/news/2008/09/army_soldiersofheaven_071126w/)
like i said though, dont take the media’s word for it. go find out for yourself. you might find that all that stuff you “know” about the war on terror is… how do i put this… ignorant, shallow, and about as dicked up as a football bat.
wow great now were reffering to the men and women defending our country as “punk asses.” Great what has our country come to I wish people like you had been in the twin tours, not people who actually cared about our country
American? You support bush… but your calling yourself an AMERICAN??? BUSH IS A DISGRACE AND A SHAM TO AMERICA! HE RAPED AND PILLAGED OUR ECONOMY AND RUINED OUR WORLD RELATIONS!
President Bush showed those seventh century turban-wearing monkeys that you will not slaughter 3000 Americans and walk away. This is the policy of Democrats afraid of losing popularity. Obama would give them a stern talking to i am sure!
Democrats screwed up the economy when they mandated that mortgage companies give a mortgage to any one who wanted one. Obama (representing ACORN) sued Fanny Mae saying that it was racist to deny poor black Americans Mortgages just because they couldn’t afford them. Who’s the rapist here?
Our “world relations” are ruined because the world is an un-gratefull wretch!
Spoken like a person who actually thinks before he reacts. Well said. Our economy is in the crapper because someone making $30k/year shouldn’t live in a $400K house. Period. The Democrats and Obama directly, were main supporters to push those kind of loans through…. no doubt it was going to fail. But of course, it’s Bush’s fault because those same morons who wouldn’t leave New Orleans are the ones who can’t figure out how to pay a mortgage..
I don’t care what you think of him, he holds the highest elected office in our country. Even if you don’t like what he’s done, you need to respect him for that reason alone. Also, even if he’s made bad choices he’s at least meant well. To say George Bush is not an American is to say that he isn’t a part of this country, dosen’t want to do what’s best for the nation, and could probably be deported if we wanted him to be, which simply isn’t true. Also, he’s better than Al Gore would have been.
Actually, during his speech on this carrier is when Bush declared victory in the war, and announced an end to “major combat operations in Iraq”. EPIC FAIL. since then, thousands of american soldiers have been killed.
This has to be one the biggest fail ever – even Bush supporters know this, which is why they are saying “He didnt mean that” – yes, he did, we all saw it, you are not fooling anyone, and have earned yourself a *fail*
Awww, Bush.
Any picture of you could have fail as a caption.
Also “Real American” this is Bush we’re talking about, didn’t notice his endless list of fails?
You need to stop watching FOX news “Real American”.
This picture was taken on May 1, 2003. During this speech good ole GWB proclaimed that “this was the end to major combat operations in Iraq.” 96% of Coalition casualties have occurred after this speech.
Real American has failed at life. If anyone is spinning it’s you. That is actually quite an unbelievable attempt to spin and take the incredible FAIL that this is off your lover Bush. Read Body’s comment, moron.
The banner was put up by the carrier’s crew because they were heading home with Mission Accomplished. This is from Bush’s actual speech:
“We have difficult work to do in Iraq. We are bringing order to parts of that country that remain dangerous. We are pursuing and finding leaders of the old regime, who will be held to account for their crimes.
…
Our mission continues. Al-Qaida is wounded, not destroyed. The scattered cells of the terrorist network still operate in many nations, and we know from daily intelligence that they continue to plot against free people.”
-GWV
Terrorists = fail.
In any military conflict you have major combat operations where it’s more like a war, then you have clean up. Other than Fallujah, yes we were still dealing with car bombs and terrorists like Bush said, not a normal war.
The idea for” Mission Accomplished” was set up as a backdrop by Bush’s P.R. people just as the lighting of New Orleans at nigh after Katrina was another famous backdrop done up for Bush even though the power there was not restored. Dude, get your head out of your ass. Who gave you that one, Rush Limbaugh?
The banner referred to the carrier’s mission. The real failure here and what should be obvious to both sides of the debate, is that you can’t “end” a war by declaring it over. You can only win it or lose it. Those that think we can “end” the war now are advocating for us to lose it.
It’s not a war, it’s an occupation. It’s an occupation that’s costing us lives, credibility, and the economic future of our country. If we have to, as you put it, “lose” this war, then so be it. We shouldn’t have started it, and so the sooner we finish it, the better. All of you righties can blabber on and on about your patriotic duty, but unless your rotting in a ditch somewhere in bagdad, you have no right to say this is a necessary war.
So, “True Patriot”, make assumptions much? I guess the obverse of your statement is true – If you are (or have been) in a ditch in Baghdad, you have the right to say that this is, indeed, a “necessary war”? I think if you polled the troops in ANY war, they would say they want to go home. But if you polled the troops in THIS war, you would find that they, by an overwhelming majority, would agree that it is necessary. And since by your logic they have the only opinion that counts, thank you for your support of the troops and their opinion that this is a most necessary war. And as for “Anonymous” – “…kicking our punk asses up and down the Middle East?”… July had the lowest number of Coalition casualties since the beginning of the war. And for those who wish to lie about the banner just to make the Commander in Chief look bad? You are lying about the US Sailors who put it there. Lying, indeed, about the troops most of you claim to support – I suggest supporting them, instead of just putting a little ribbon on your car that costs less than the freakin’ Starbucks coffee in the cupholder. And yes, I just got back from Baghdad; my 5th trip over since 2003.
amen brother. no one sees the succes. no one knows how we turned the Salmon-Pac area from a warzone to a suburb, no one knows how iraqi’s plea and beg and fight for us to stay and continue helping them… no one hears about the guy who ran the “haji shop” at our outpost who was kidnapped by terrorists for two weeks before the Iraqis could pay his ransom. upon his release he came right back to work for us at his shop along side the hundreds of street kids, teens, and grown men who help us fortify and build up our outposts. these guys come with scared-over bullet wounds and shrapnel from insurgents in their village from years past who no longer threaten them cos guess what? we do our job, we do it well, and surprise! they do actually want us there.
“winning a war on terrorism is like winning a war on jelousy. like one day we’ll say “okay! we got em all! everybody likes us now!” -paraphrased from david cross
First off, learn how to use You’re and Your correctly… Second, we didn’t start it, we have been flying over and massing on their border for the past 10 years… in case you forgot, we never left after the first war because Clinton wouldn’t make a decision to leave, or to actually enforce all the U.N. resolutions that said we would invade if he kept killing his own people and shooting at us. Since I know several people who never returned from Iraq, and I have rotted in ditches for 4 tours over the past 8 years, I have the right to talk about the war. The only thing Bush has really done wrong is to support the bailout. In that sense, I have to agree that policy is an absolute Fail.
Democrats really will go to any length to try and “discredit” people that aren’t members of their party. The mission WAS accomplished. Sadaam was out of power and we had occupied the country. Thus, the start of a new mission. Of course all the libtards would rather sit around HURRRING and “baiting” to their favorite movie “idiocracy” not realizing that they’re the exact people the movie is talking about.
I always laughed when condescending leftists/dems said they ’supported’ us while walking over our backs to attack to our CinC. I don’t know which is more pathetic, that they do it, or that they don’t even seem to notice.
The men and women of the USS Abraham Lincoln accomplished their mission superbly, their mission was just, and 10 years overdue by the terms of the Gulf War Cease-Fire Agreement.
If you read your history, you’d know that after Desert Storm, the mission was accomplished. George H.W. Bush, Brent Scowcroft, Gen. Powell, etc. were smart enough to know that if they invaded Iraq, they would have to deal with what’s going on right now i.e. an endless occupation, a war of attrition that we can’t really win, and contempt from the international community.
I do support the troops, to the point that I don’t want to see them spill their blood unless absolutely necessary. I think that former NSC member Richard A. Clarke said it best:
[W]ith our Army stretched to the breaking point, our international credibility at an all-time low, Muslims further radicalized against us, our relations with key Allies damaged, and our soldiers in a shooting gallery, it is as hard to believe that America is safer for the invasion as it is to believe that President Bush had good intelligence on weapons of mass destruction or that “this country was threatened with Saddam Hussein in power.”
What I can’t believe is that there are people that actually believe that Irag DIDN;T have weapons of mass destruction. If the UN hadn’t took their sweet time in demanding that inspections take place, Saddam wouldn’t have had the chance to move them.
If you truly believe that he NEVER had these weapons then you are either incredibly stupid or naive.
Saddam didn’t move them, because there wasn’t anything to move. Almost a decade of highly-intrusive inspections by the UN eliminated any significant capability that wasn’t destroyed during the Gulf War. We have yet to find even a tiny fraction of what was claimed to exist before the war. Also, if Saddam had any of this, why didn’t he use it when faced with the destruction of his regime? He had nothing left to lose at that time, and, as it turns out, he had nothing to use. The only reason full inspections were delayed was because the inspectors feared for their own safety amid the growing likelihood of an American bombardment of the very facilities they were inspecting and disarming. He did have these weapons in the past, and used them with a wink and a nod from the United States against both Iran and the Kurds, and Reagan and Poppy Bush did nothing about it until he threatened the Saudis and Israel.
Are you serious? You should have stopped after your first sentence. You had me on your side at that point. The rest of your post equals fail. We still love you, though.
I am an Army veteran who’s had the pleasure (if you can call it that) of supporting Operation Northern Watch, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom (among others), and I can tell you that our current situation in Iraq (and concurrent neglect of Afghanistan) equals serious freakin’ failure.
And, by the way, I’m a so-called “lefty liberal”. Veterans for Obama! Stick that in your Fox News pipe and smoke it.
Same with my brother. Volunteered for the reserves after the conflict started, did a year in Iraq, is now back and staunchly anti-war. How ’bout you (True Patriot) take some of your own advice.
“Each side is so focused on debasing and undermining the other that they completely disregard what matters:”
followed by
“That being said…
I love how all the liberals…”
or
“the points put fourth by my fellow conservatives by pointing out typos”
I kid, I kid. No offense intended.
I truly believe the “war on terror” may never be over as long as big defense contractors can lobby the latest missile, face-recognition software, etc. You and I are expendable the profits these companies bring in are too great.
No one doubts or questions the loyalty or dedication of any person serving their country (especially in a forward position).
But you can question the person that put them there, especially if he lied to do it.
It’s a democracy, which means you SHOULD question your president. He is YOUR president, not the other way around. In other words
Whoever made this is a sorry piece of shit.
Why do so many of you people choose to side with our enemies? Why is it ok now to hope and wish (and aid) that the US is defeated? I think its sad. And you people who constantly smear a good man like George Bush need to wake up. The man you all proclaim is stupid or a failure is now wrapping up his secind term as the leader of the free world. You are obviously smarter, so what have you accomplished?
Holy shit… wow… wow… wow… where to start? you just failed like… 18 times… wow wow wow… Ok, for one, Bush is an awful man, he subsidizes the rich while raping all future generations of Americans. He hires Blackwater mercenaries to do his dirty work and lies, bold-faced, to all of his people. Bush is nothing but an arrogant, washed up and mentally retarded prick.
Secondly, I don’t want the US to be “defeated”, I want the US to stop throwing away the lives of it’s proud sons and daughters. I want the US to stop wasting it’s lifeblood in war, and to mend it’s wounds at home. I want the US to stop it’s blood-lusting crusade and go for what really maters, the sovereignty and well-being of it’s people. That is what I want. That is what we liberals what.
I ask you, is that what the enemy wants? No? Then how are WE the enemy?
Hahaha you’re the perfect example of the ‘flag waving american’ that we, the rest of the world, both pity, despise and laugh at. Do us a favour and don’t breed.
That would be the second term that he stole. Bush / Chaney is the most corrupt and criminal administration the US has ever had – and that’s including Nixon!
Just got back from my second tour. Epic fail. Anyone who says otherwise is just wrong. I won’t call them stupid, but ill-informed works well for me. To the conservatives who say we are fighting for anything other than profits, please answer me this: During my first tour in Iraq, I was given orders from my superiors to obey any orders given to me by Blackwater operatives, unless they explicitly broke the UCMJ. The only orders I was ever issued by these operatives were in regards to securing oil fields. A library, a school, and 3 hospitals were burnt to the ground in the time it took us to “save” 3 oil derricks we should never have been near (out of our official operating range). The people in the region were–understandably–pissed off about it. I work for the US, I bleed for the safety of the people there, not for the profit margins of a blatantly corrupt corporation.
We were out there not long ago. I was putting in showers and water heaters for KBR in some of their new corporate digs. Across the street was an Iraqi medical centre with a busted generator. Two Marines came over and asked us to help fix the generator because their translator and his son were in the hospital and needed power for some of the equipment. We were on a break, got up to go over there, and our ‘boss’ the KBR manager there told us if we left the site we would be sacked.
Iraqi civilians. Iraqi police. American Troops. All dying for Bush and his corporate buddies.
There is a shit ton of money being made here off the blood and suffering of soldiers and civilians alike.
These Bushophiles need to listen more, and talk less.
wow you all are stupid for debating all this politic bs because your all going to think your right and that no one else is and no one is ever going to win. your all dumb. and if you don’t like the way america is run, move! no ones forcing you to stay so shut your face
This has President Bush in it. It is therefore Epic Fail no matter what else is there.
I don’t care what anyone says, I honestly hope that Obama or McCain at least get us out of this god awful war that should not have lasted as long as it has.
Yeah, but it might be a tad late in the game to do shit about it. I tell ya I still don’t know what to believe about this whole war, mostly due to the fact I was in middle school when 9-11 happened and I still hear numberless reasons or excuses. Some people say it’s about oil, some say it’s about defending freedom, some say it was about weapons of mass destruction, or something totally different. But the fact is being young here in the USA knowing full well that ME AND COUNTLESS OTHERS MY AGE HERE WILL MOST LIKELY PAY FOR A WAR that has done nothing but damage reputations, homes, and most importantly lives. With all this said I can certainly believe:
1. Bush = Epic Fail
2. Iraq = Epic Fail
3. After 08′ election despite winner = Epic Fail
Sorry people. I don’t know and/or don’t care who you voted/will vote for, but there is no way in hell McCain or Obama will get our country out of this disasterous trench that has been dug within their possible four year or the potential eight year term. I do however know that my government has lied to me and will probably never reveal the truth. The Youth of America is certainly rigged and moving towards an non-preventable epic failure.
William J. Bennett, in a lecture to the United States Naval Academy November 24, 1997 said:
“Most of the people in our society are sheep. They are kind, gentle, productive creatures who can only hurt one another by accident. We may well be in the most violent times in history, but violence is still remarkably rare. They are sheep.
Then there are the wolves and the wolves feed on the sheep without mercy. Do you believe there are wolves out there who will feed on the flock without mercy? You better believe it. There are evil men in this world and they are capable of evil deeds. The moment you forget that or pretend it is not so, you become a sheep. There is no safety in denial.
Then there are sheepdogs. I’m a sheepdog. I live to protect the flock and confront the wolf. If you have no capacity for violence then you are a healthy productive citizen, a sheep. If you have a capacity for violence and no empathy for your fellow citizens, then you have defined an aggressive sociopath, a wolf. But what if you have a capacity for violence, and a deep love for your fellow citizens? What do you have then? A sheepdog, a warrior, someone who is walking the uncharted path. Someone who can walk into the heart of darkness, into the universal human phobia, and walk out unscathed.
“We know that the sheep live in denial; that is what makes them sheep. They do not want to believe that there is evil in the world. They can accept the fact that fires can happen, which is why they want fire extinguishers, fire sprinklers, fire alarms and fire exits throughout their kids schools. But many of them are outraged at the idea of putting an armed police officer in their kid’s school. Our children are thousands of times more likely to be killed or seriously injured by school violence than fire, but the sheep’s only response to the possibility of violence is denial. The idea of someone coming to kill or harm their child is just too hard, and so they chose the path of denial.
The sheep generally do not like the sheepdog. He looks a lot like the wolf. He has fangs and the capacity for violence. The difference, though, is that the sheepdog must not, can not and will not ever harm the sheep. Any sheep dog who intentionally harms the lowliest little lamb will be punished and removed.
The world can not work any other way, at least not in a representative democracy or a republic such as ours. Still, the sheepdog disturbs the sheep. He is a constant reminder that there are wolves in the land. They would prefer that he didn’t tell them where to go, or give them traffic tickets, or stand at the ready in our airports, in camouflage fatigues, holding an M-16. The sheep would much rather have the sheepdog cash in his fangs, spray paint himself white, and go, Baa.
Until the wolf shows up; then the entire flock tries desperately to hide behind one lonely sheepdog. The students, the victims, at Columbine High School were big, tough high school students, and under ordinary circumstances they would not have had the time of day for a police officer. They were not bad kids; they just had nothing to say to a cop. When the school was under attack, however, and SWAT teams were clearing the rooms and hallways, the officers had to physically peel those clinging, sobbing kids off of them. This is how the little lambs feel about their sheepdog when the wolf is at the door.
Look at what happened after September 11, 2001 when the wolf pounded hard on the door. Remember how America, more than ever before, felt differently about their law enforcement officers and military personnel? Understand that there is nothing morally superior about being a sheepdog; it is just what you choose to be. Also understand that a sheepdog is a funny critter: He is always sniffing around out on the perimeter, checking the breeze, barking at things that go bump in the night, and yearning for a righteous battle.
That is, the young sheepdogs yearn for a righteous battle. The old sheepdogs are a little older and wiser, but they move to the sound of the guns when needed, right along with the young ones.
Here is how the sheep and the sheepdog think differently. The sheep pretend the wolf will never come, but the sheepdog lives for that day. After the attacks on September 11, 2001, most of the sheep, that is, most citizens in America said, Thank God I wasn’t on one of those planes. The sheepdogs, the warriors, said, Dear God, I wish I could have been on one of those planes. Maybe I could have made a difference. You want to be able to make a difference. There is nothing morally superior about the sheepdog, the warrior, but he does have one real advantage. Only one. And that is that he is able to survive and thrive in an environment that destroys 98 percent of the population.
There was research conducted a few years ago with individuals convicted of violent crimes. These cons were in prison for serious, predatory crimes of violence: assaults, murders and killing law enforcement officers. The vast majority said that they specifically targeted victims by body language: slumped walk, passive behavior and lack of awareness. They chose their victims like big cats do in Africa, when they select one out of the herd that is least able to protect itself.
Some people may be destined to be sheep and others might be genetically primed to be wolves or sheepdogs. But I believe that most people can choose which one they want to be, and I’m proud to say that more and more Americans are choosing to become sheepdogs.
Seven months after the attack on September 11, 2001, Todd Beamer was honored in his hometown of Cranbury, New Jersey. Todd, as you recall, was the man on Flight 93 over Pennsylvania who called on his cell phone to alert an operator from United Airlines about the hijacking. When they learned of the other three passenger planes that had been used as weapons, Todd and the other passengers confronted the terrorist hijackers. In one hour, a transformation occurred among the passengers, athletes, business people and parents from sheep to sheepdogs and together they fought the wolves, ultimately saving an unknown number of lives on the ground.
“There is no safety for honest men except by believing all possible evil of evil men.”… Edmund Burke.
“Only the dead have seen the end of war.”… Plato
Here is the point I like to emphasize, especially to the thousands of police officers and soldiers I speak to each year. In nature the sheep, real sheep, are born as sheep. Sheepdogs are born that way, and so are wolves. They didn’t have a choice.
But you are not a critter. As a human being, you can be whatever you want to be. It is a conscious, moral decision. If you want to be a sheep, then you can be a sheep and that is okay, but you must understand the price you pay. When the wolf comes, you and your loved ones are going to die if there is not a sheepdog there to protect you. If you want to be a wolf, you can be one, but the sheepdogs are going to hunt you down and you will never have rest, safety, trust or love.
But if you want to be a sheepdog and walk the warrior’s path, then you must make a conscious and moral decision every day to dedicate, equip and prepare yourself to thrive in that toxic, corrosive moment when the wolf comes knocking at the door.
This business of being a sheep or a sheep dog is not a yes-no dichotomy. It is not an all-or-nothing, either-or choice. It is a matter of degrees, a continuum. On one end is an abject, head-in-the-sand-sheep and on the other end is the ultimate warrior. Few people exist completely on one end or the other. Most of us live somewhere in between.
Since 9-11 almost everyone in America took a step up that continuum, away from denial. The sheep took a few steps toward accepting and appreciating their warriors and the warriors started taking their job more seriously. It’s ok to be a sheep, but do not kick the sheep dog.
Indeed, the sheep dog may just run a little harder, strive to protect a little better and be fully prepared to pay an ultimate price in battle and spirit with the sheep moving from baa to thanks.
We do not call for gifts or freedoms beyond our lot. We just need a small pat on the head, a smile and a thank you to fill the emotional tank which is drained protecting the sheep. And when our number is called by The Almighty, and day retreats into night, a small prayer before the heavens just may be in order to say thanks for letting you continue to be a sheep. And be grateful for the thousands, millions of American sheepdogs who permit you the freedom to express even bad ideas.
Your wolves have been in the white house for eight years… feasting on the sheep, bathing in their blood, killing the lambs for fun and profit. Still sheep like yourself insist these wolves are sheepdogs, despite their wolfish behaviour. These wolves call themselves sheepdogs, whilst pointing at real sheepdogs, foreign wolves and even your fellow sheep, and insisting them wolves.
Any sheep who looks at the wolf and screams wolf, is called a wolf by the wolf. You echo the cry, because you are a sheep.
Doesnt anyone actually remember this? The Mission Accomplished and “Cease of Major Fighting” was referring to the original actual mission, you know, the one to end the Iraqi Regime which was responsible for thousands of lives taken in an effective genocide of the kurdish people? Even if this administration and the entire war was created due to corporate corruption, at least the we ended a modern day reign of terror by that of Saddam Hussein. Don’t get me wrong, theres no way in hell we should still be there, but all of you who think we just get up and leave when we want are sadly mistaken.
OK, so now that everyone has bashed everyone else and failed to realize that Bush has been trying and that none of you could do any better (no I’m not defending him, I think he screwed up too), perhaps you should look at the fact that no matter what happens during a presidency, the president is going to get blamed, if it is his fault or not. Some are good, some are bad, and some will just be forgoten. a lot of the things people are blaming on bush are the result of the american perspective. as americans, our economy is crashing because of us, not bush. the war is still going on because it’s not done, not because we’re too chicken to say “I’m wrong”. I don’t like having all my friends over there dying, but if that’s not my choice, so I’m still going to support the troops. gas prices have NOTHING to do with the war. if they did, they’d be going down not up…
eveyone of you is arguing to no end about things that we can’t change. Yes, bush had done some things that NO ONE in america is proud of, but he’s almost out of office, so just deal with it till he is and hope the next president will be better…
Now let me ask everyone who is bashing the president this. Given the circumstances could you do any better? And if you do your probably an irrational egotistical blunder idiot. Gas and the economy have NOTHING to do with the war on terror or any other military campaign. The war, gas and the economy are all separate issues. While yes I suppose part of the presidents job is suppose is to be a scape goat and take blame for the state of the nation whether its fair or right or not it doesn’t matter it just is. He always gets blamed for everything that happens. A lot of people who are responsible for the state of this nation and its economy are just trying to spin everything off onto Bush and his administration because they realize that they fouled everything up, or at least did nothing to stop it. So everyone if you are going to argue and complain and whatnot fine, go right ahead I can’t and won’t stop your absurdity. I realize that this is an emotionally charged issue for any number of reasons, but people deal with it. He’s almost out of office so just sit tight and campaign for whoever you think can do a better job in ‘09. Do something positive not negative waste time or energy on something you can’t change anyways. That’s it. I’ve already spent more than enough time on this nonsense.
Why does the true reason behind the banner mean so much? The point is, seeing George Bush making that speech with “mission accomplished” right behind him gets across an idea that the US have finished the war on terror. Hence, epic fail. The 2 may not be related, but the overall image is a fail because it basically says “we’ve won”. Never mind all this crap about the carrier and the specifics of the speech, George Bush speaking about war on terror + “Mission accomplished” in background = EPIC FAIL. It’s like the image of the open magazine with “My sister accidentally killed herself” on one page and “Oops” on the other. The 2 are totally unrelated, but put together they create a fail.
You all do realize the photo is fake don’t you? Someone pasted George Bush’s head on someone’s body… probably George Sr. from the end of the first Gulf War. It’s not even a good fake either.
According to a classmate of mine who once served on the USS Abraham Lincoln the mission accomplished banner is hung every time they return to home port after completing their mission/tour. So I’ve never understood how this picture could be considered a ‘fail’.
This isn’t a fail. it’s actually just a really crappy photoshop so whoever made this is ther person who failed. besides people hang those banners after succesful missions. so don’t accuse bush of crap if the best you can come up with is a very crappy photoshop.
xD ok I’m from Germany… and I’m not going to say that the USA failed because the country isn’t at fault for what its President does. I also doN
n’t think that THE us-americans failed because I know that not everybody in a country is so stupid to elect someone like Georg W. Bush. I just think it’s sad that he was actually elected TWICE and that still some people think that Bush jr was actually right with what he did. I read about half the comments and of course most of them are already a little bit older but for me as a german it’s extremly funny to read these arguments xD Well, it’s not like I can say that Germany is a good idol concerning crazy leaders… but, and now I have to quote a german comedian: “Thank you americans! For more than 60 years th world hated us Germans but since Bush attacked the iraq the world hates america more than us!” He said that on stage in New York and he wasn’t even killed fterwards…. And if I were an us-american I’d be really ashamed of Gearge W. Bush. But since Obama is now president I hope it’s going to get a better.
Bush FAILS!!!
{i}well, war always brings debt, and WHAT is federal debt? is it
truly worth anything? 9/11 hit me hard, this war did go for
more than the time it took to capture Saddam{/i}
Not always true…America was the ONLY country in the world to benefit for world war 2
wow, talk about assholes. really this is supossed to be funny. you might not think it’s is but that’s why when you don’t have anything nice to say then you don’t say it at all. stop correcting each other. when people are ignorant just leave them alone, because obviously they don’t want to learn what’s right otherwise they would have by now.
oh yeah… win for terrorists, we’ll catch you somedy.
This is like the philosophy website I used to be part of
All political speech writers who have commentated about politics on this speech are FAILS. You hear me? FAILS
Hm, the reason no one likes Bush is because of what he did in his 8 years as president.
Also, he kind of cheated the first election he ran for in 2000.
Nobody hear about that one? Well let me tell you.
Someone on his campaign election decided to find all of the African – American voters, in Florida I believe, that had been to jail, or found the people who were closely related to them, and made it so they couldn’t vote. Bush DID NOT WIN the 2000 election. He put pressure on the courts to make their decision. So really, Bush SHOULD HAVE lost the 2000 election. He DID lose it vote wise, not by much, but it still was a loss.
+ most of the Americans are viewed the way they are simply because of their hostility, (not everyone, but there are a LOT) and their pure ignorance.
In fact, I have strongly noticed over the past 8 years, America was starting to show the traits that are known to FASCIST countries/governments.
Lets hope Obama can pull America out of the hell hole Bush dug for you guys.
really?
are you being serious?
you say bush cheated, but you never really think about ACORN. how about kerry using people who had died? obama wont help. he stopped the production of the F-22 Raptor, a plane so fast that most SAM missiles cant stop it. his healthcare plan is socialist. if you need a pacer you are simply given painkillers untill you die and they give you a grief counseler. they dont pay for the surgery. obama is a full on socialist. hes pulling out of iraq right when things start to get better. i am not insulting your intelligence, simply your ingorance
Wow! most epic fail of the site!- people believe this stuff eh?

you people are retards. bush didn’t lose. the war on terror was over 5 years ago. right now we’re just keeping the people in iraq safe until they can take care of themselves. the war was a success.

besides. this picture is just a crappy photoshop. dont accuse bush of crap if you dont even know what you’re talking about and the best you can come up with against him is a crappy photoshop and a few people that get mad becausebush cut our taxes and is actually keeping you from paying extra stuff to the government.our government has always been in debt anyway. every president has added debt to the country every time they were president since kennedy. plus every country in the world excpet for third party countries are in debt too. so keep your mouth shut unless you have something real to say.
What is so funny about that white guy? i dont get it someone please explain to me. I read all the comments and i still dont know what is going on. Please someone help me.
omg. one hour of loud laughter. thank you all. i’d personally go with “this [picture] has president bush in it. it is therefore epic fail no matter what else is [in] there.”
By the way, this isn’t a photoshop picture, the banner is referring to the specific mission these men and women were given, which was a success. US Military WIN!
This anti-Bush website can’t seem to operate unless they’re either making up crap, or passing on the same altered photos that are the only thing liberals have going for them.
If truth were important, liberals could not have elected this useless bozo we now have.
Wow how dumb r guys? hes talking to an audience and those r the marine ppl in the background….. its pretty easy to tell because of the heads infront of the camera
President Bush 2 was the worst president in American history. I never would have thought that I would see a president worse than Hoover, Nixon or Reagan in my lifetime, but it just goes to show you how many people will make dumb decisions when afraid. Now I know some Repubs are gonna say, “but Reagan was a great president. He ended Communism and brought a new age of prosperity..blah…blah…blah….” Reagan sold out his country, put us into a horrible economic situation with his trickle-down economics, and gave Jelly-Belly jellybeans a bad name. Hoover was just G.W. before GW. I really think that Republicans can’t read because they actually believe that trickle down economics works. It has never worked and never will. FDR and his New Deal policy pulled us out of the Great Depression and that is exactly what we need now. That and a president with the balls to stand up to the GOP and pull out of a needless war in Iraq, pass universal health care with or without the GOP, and implement green energy technologies that could provide two million jobs in the next 3 years. If Obama had balls, he would end his administration with the highest job approval rating since Clinton left office. Oh and if any Repub wants to argue numbers, all he has to do is look at the approval numbers at the end of Bush’s reign. Pretty much a sixty point spread there between Clinton and Bush.
For those of you who don’t get it, this speech was aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln in May if 2003. 2 months after the invasion in Iraq, Bush said quote….”all major military action in Iraq has ended.” Bush said the war was over 2 months after it started. He didn’t realize that a militia of mujiden would soon counter the occupying army…
The real fail is the president now in office. Obama and the democrat controlled congress are spending us down the hole. Bush may not have been good for foreign relations, but at least he looked out for Americans. Maybe Obama should look out for his country instead of trying to appease the U.N. All aboard for change! Next stop: socialism!
Is no one commenting because this isn’t funny, but rather incredibily depressing?
That your contrey failed for six years
Or that you failed to spell correctly. And it really hasn’t.
nah, only your gov! Honestly your peps are cool and all, the country is great to take a vacation, but get rid of this moron please and don’t behave like the restt of the world is crap. that’s all.
spelling fail
Grammar fail.
Uh… that was a double fail on both of you. You both used sentence fragments.
lev, partially true WIN.
Three pages of political text fail.
I blame Cheyney.
i blame frogs for not being able to swallow with their eyes open!
hahah frog fail
Actually, Bush finally did something after 10 years of failed U.N. sanctions were violated and the rest of the world (UN) refused to enforce it’s own resolutions. I spent more time flying over airspace watching people on the ground get killed and being shot at every day, not being able to do anything about it during the entire Clinton Administration. Congress voted to go to war… it wasn’t a unilateral decision by Bush. “I voted for the war before I voted against it”… Sound familiar? Democrats seem to forget that we haven’t been attacked since 2001… that is definately a WIN.
Congress hasn’t formally declared war since 1941.
WIN!
I like you.
> um….the Iraqis never flew anything into our buildings
Quit trying to make sense you might hurt their heads.
> but fairly ignorant republicans bug me.
Honestly, it’s getting incredibly OLD.
joy is me , the poor Iraqi peasants can sleep peacefully .
lol , internets .
GREAT reply! Thanks…someone with some sense!
“More than half the country agrees!” isn’t that the band wagon failacy?
You know what’s funny? Less than a year from the day you posted this the new liberal president put us in more debt in his first five months than Bush did in his first five years. You want to complain about a president putting us in debt, lets see you do it when its a liberal.
Thing is, Clinton managed to balance the budget…unfortunately, Bush
managed to screw it all up.
that manwhore??? did you know that he shut down LAX airport once
just to get his hair cut on the tarmac (also for idiots, that means
runway)? and that this cost an estimated $270,000 to the taxpayers
(I.e. the same taxpayers being held up in the airport by this jackass)
not that I like all of bush’s policies, tho
going into a war always brings an unbalanced buged,
well, war always brings debt, and WHAT is federal debt? is it
truly worth anything?
And Obama is absolutely trumping Bush’s spending and further F$(*ing up Clinton’s balanced budget.
aaron = EPIC common sense F-A-I-L…. Brainwash EPIC WIN
If my memory serves me right, that actually happened.
Fail…
Hey, what are Third party countries?
i guess you need to go back to school dude
So then in your belief the “Mission Accomplished” speech of Bush’s meant the war on Terror is over???? I think all the soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan might see it differently. Why not just admit that Bush made a huge mistake instead of trying to rewrite history. And I think that neither you nor anyone else will make me “keep my mouth shut” as long as the first ammendment exists. In case you don’t know, that comes right before the second ammendment that most concervatives get such a hardon about.
Capitalization fail.
When Bush came into office in 2000 he had a surplus thanks to Clinton…. aaron= facts fail
You voted for Bush, didn’t you?
Amen!
to Bob B that is
lol seems like someone sucked bushes dick and actually liked it
Weapon of mass my ass…
An epic fail
fail fail rofl i cant help but roflmfao at that comment ! wow,..
do you actually believe yourself?
With American money. If someone else paid all YOUR bills, you’d be hesitant to tell them to go away, right?
Well said by someone who obviously relies on others to keep him safe.
wow, this comment is almost disgusting. we’re “keeping the people in iraq safe until they can take care of themselves”…
yeah, sending our military to their country and slaughtering them definitely keeps them safer than they would be WITHOUT mass murder. i mean, there’s never been a time when countries like Iraq could actually continue existing without the help of a superior country like the ever-so-prosperous US and a destructive foreign military presence, has there? you’re right.
> sending our military to their country and slaughtering them
Yeah, it’s OUR soldiers doing the suicide bombing, cutting people’s heads off, putting bombs in the corpses and then dumping them off where the family and friends will find them.
BUT, we were wrong, so YES, it was a fail.
i totally agree with you aaron i think its a huge load of B.S. the stuff our media has put him through Obama has put is in a bigger hole within 2 months then Bush did in two Presidential terms, and i havent heard a negative word about Obama
you wasted billions of dollars in iraq and sacrificed thousand of soldiers
this is not a “win” it’s a pyrrhic victory, and a pyrrhic victory is “FAIL”!
> the war was a success.
Precisely. Anyone FAILing to grasp this should look at how long the USA/Allies occupied Japan, Germany, and Austria (yes, *Austria*) following WWII. How long the North occupied the South after the end of the Civil War. And oh, yeah… are we out of South Korea *YET*??? The people who put these two memes together (“Mission accomplished” and “still in Iraq” in this manner are themselves the “FAIL”
omg i never thought you americans actually believe in your government and – especially – bush…xD
made my day
lot of lulz from europe
omg. STFU you grammer nazi.
F U C K you you piece of s h i t
COUNTRY.
Fail(*country)
sir you have speller country wrong u sir have failed. Good day
THE BEST THING IS THAT IS A RACIST FAIL OF YOUR PART!
wherever you live, it’s been a failure much longer.
Why is this funny if we don’t know what was accomplished? They aren’t talking about Iraq, and it is a boat… so navy or drive-by-boat shooting?
I think that everyone might be missing the point. (and i could be majorly wrong,) But what I am pretty sure is supposed to be funny is a much smaller part of the picture. (Look at the microphones, and then look at his tie.)
More like because it’s a Photo-shop fail.
It just isn’t that funny because, well, we all know where the U.S. has gone because of him: straight down the toilet.
how is it a fail anyways?
It’s scary and depressing (the incompetence)
Considering all the DOUCHE NOZZLES don’t understand that when a carrier rotates back to it home port it hoists that sign regardless of who’s on board…
all war is a FAIL
This is hilarious xD
i don’t get it o0
neither do I
neither do I
LOL, ths was bush declaring victory 1 year into a war that is now 6 years and running
it was not him declaring victory it was the last mission for that ship he was on…DUH
Ehm… no it wasnt DUMBASS! he declared victory
they never declared a victory in the war on terror, idiot. the banner was reqested by the crew of the ship to celebrate the end of their 10 month deployment
its photoshopped anyways.
You fail at both math and history. Bush declared victory about two months into a war that’s now a little over five years old.
“We’re no longer fighting Iraq, we’re putting down insurgencies” Hahahaaa!
Before ‘mission accomplished’ America was fighting Iraq. Now it’s just fighting the people in Iraq. It’s sooo different…
That war against the country was so hard to fight… all that sand took some beating. The people are proving to be tougher…
Sweet Hairy Jesus you Bushophiles are dumb.
No, the war really was over that fast. The occupation, pacification, and reconstruction processes that followed are what took the remaining time.
It’s because to a lot of Americans, G.W.Bush did not fail. That’s what’s sad.
Bush epicly fails
No, you just want to believe he failed.
not recognizing bush is a failure=FAIL
that ranndom guy=apoctolyic fail
Uhhh… I… think there’s something wrong with this one. Can’t quite put finger on it. Oh wait, MASSIVE SPELLING FAIL!!
if its so apocalyptic, u could spell it right!
I’m American and I know he failed.
That is, unless by “Mission Accomplished,” he meant: “We haven’t found a damn thing, and at one point in my presidency, gas will be $4 a gallon.”
Because if he did, then in that case:
Bush = epic win
Us = epic fail for not seeing that.
http://www.pdfdownload.org/pdf2html/pdf2html.php?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.foxnews.com%2Fprojects%2Fpdf%2FIraq_WMD_Declassified.pdf&images=yes
That FAIL is in the sky because it’s being shouted by the rest of the world…
ANON has the smartest answer here.
clearly you don’t know much. (1) More of our oil comes from the middle east than south america, (2) we use the Alaskan pipeline; what you mean is the ANWR. Drilling will not bring down prices–try learning something rather than spewing misinformed bs.
uh-huh… and it has nothing to do with the Bush family owning one of the largest oil deposits in the nation, does it?
Liek…what are you saying? The Canadians are about to invade the US?
hahah ..there’s a good joke. the Canadian Army being led by Bob and Doug MacKenzie.. with General Red Green and his elite Duct Tape Brigade. I can see them now.. running along throwing beer cans and waving hockey sticks.
http://overcompensating.com/posts/20060411.html
there. i’ve been waiting for this comment. bush does not have anything to do with gas. its the environmentalists, they have that much influence. hee hee.
it’s now 2008 and you still declare the war un-winnable? Tell that to a Marine my Commie friend.
unwinnable? How much time did you serve in our military to come up with a deduction like that? moron.
yeah and then remember when he left office and gas was $1.65 OMG he is so terrible
You voted for Obama? Thanks a lot…ASSHOLE!
“guys in turbans are still kicking our ‘punk asses’ up and down the middle east?” i wasnt aware that we are all bunch of “punk ass” americans… when was the last time you went to the middle east? last time i checked the score we were winning due to the fact that we have that ENTIRE pathetic country under our goddamn boot. maybe your “punk ass” needs to take a trip over there sometime and find out who is kicking who’s ass. earlier this year a US specops team with some help from about a company of Iraqi Army soldiers and, twards the end, a QRF element fron 25th ID with airs support killed 373 “guys in turbans”, and captured more than 400 “guys in turbans” who surrendered durring the “battle of the Soldiers of Heaven.” (http://www.armytimes.com/news/2008/09/army_soldiersofheaven_071126w/)
like i said though, dont take the media’s word for it. go find out for yourself. you might find that all that stuff you “know” about the war on terror is… how do i put this… ignorant, shallow, and about as dicked up as a football bat.
you rock dude.. seriously.
wow great now were reffering to the men and women defending our country as “punk asses.” Great what has our country come to I wish people like you had been in the twin tours, not people who actually cared about our country
American? You support bush… but your calling yourself an AMERICAN??? BUSH IS A DISGRACE AND A SHAM TO AMERICA! HE RAPED AND PILLAGED OUR ECONOMY AND RUINED OUR WORLD RELATIONS!
GEORGE BUSH IS NOT AMERICAN!!!!
^^education fail^^
Also, he’s better than Al Gore would have been.
i could not agree with you more personification
yes i am american and i support the leader of my country.
Huh what a concept
Actually, during his speech on this carrier is when Bush declared victory in the war, and announced an end to “major combat operations in Iraq”. EPIC FAIL. since then, thousands of american soldiers have been killed.
iraq win?
Bush: “Oh shit, I told the American people our mission was accomplished, but it turns out that it wasn’t! What should I do, Mr. PR guy?”
PR guy for Bush: “Tell people that you meant the carrier’s mission was accomplished.”
Bush: “Oh yeah, heh heh, good idea. I’ll just tell them it was for the carrier.”
PR Guy: “One more thing…”
Bush: “What?”
PR Guy: “You fail, Mr. President.”
Now that’s funny.
This has to be one the biggest fail ever – even Bush supporters know this, which is why they are saying “He didnt mean that” – yes, he did, we all saw it, you are not fooling anyone, and have earned yourself a *fail*
this is an epic fail alright!
FAIL
Hey, I happen to LIKE foxes!
[...] to your personal lexicon familiarize yourself with the finer shadings of the term: epic fail and of course classic fail. thank [...]
Real American has failed at life. If anyone is spinning it’s you. That is actually quite an unbelievable attempt to spin and take the incredible FAIL that this is off your lover Bush. Read Body’s comment, moron.
Real American… that’s false advertising. being a Bush-lover does not make you a Real American
He would, but it might end up on this blog.
I’m not a real American because I don’t support Bush. I like peace and good economy, therefore I am a damn terrorist.
DURKA ALLAH, MUHAMMAD JIHAD!!!! lul…
You missed out ‘allah akhbar’
hoorah
The banner was put up by the carrier’s crew because they were heading home with Mission Accomplished. This is from Bush’s actual speech:
“We have difficult work to do in Iraq. We are bringing order to parts of that country that remain dangerous. We are pursuing and finding leaders of the old regime, who will be held to account for their crimes.
…
Our mission continues. Al-Qaida is wounded, not destroyed. The scattered cells of the terrorist network still operate in many nations, and we know from daily intelligence that they continue to plot against free people.”
-GWV
Terrorists = fail.
In any military conflict you have major combat operations where it’s more like a war, then you have clean up. Other than Fallujah, yes we were still dealing with car bombs and terrorists like Bush said, not a normal war.
Real American. (#6)
BT
amen brother. no one sees the succes. no one knows how we turned the Salmon-Pac area from a warzone to a suburb, no one knows how iraqi’s plea and beg and fight for us to stay and continue helping them… no one hears about the guy who ran the “haji shop” at our outpost who was kidnapped by terrorists for two weeks before the Iraqis could pay his ransom. upon his release he came right back to work for us at his shop along side the hundreds of street kids, teens, and grown men who help us fortify and build up our outposts. these guys come with scared-over bullet wounds and shrapnel from insurgents in their village from years past who no longer threaten them cos guess what? we do our job, we do it well, and surprise! they do actually want us there.
And yet still a better choice then a Democrat
FAIL
Democrats really will go to any length to try and “discredit” people that aren’t members of their party. The mission WAS accomplished. Sadaam was out of power and we had occupied the country. Thus, the start of a new mission. Of course all the libtards would rather sit around HURRRING and “baiting” to their favorite movie “idiocracy” not realizing that they’re the exact people the movie is talking about.
Exactly. We won the invasion, and lost the occupation by making a half-ass job at securing the country. Epic fail.
HOO RAH!!!!!!
Yeah he had some. The ones we sold to him in the 80’s
FAIL
Dude, we been all up and down the place, where did he put them, up Dick Chaney’s ass? … i guess that would explain a lot…
As already stated. The WMD’s that they had were sold to them by the US in the 80’s. Where’d he get the gas to kill the Kurds? Good ole USA.
What? I think that Bush is the best president that america has ever had!
… LOL, yeah, the terrorsts love them don’t they…
Aaron failed- “GWV”
Can’t you f***ing lefties keep your political crap on your own crappy websites and leave this one alone?
this IS one of our crappy websites, NOW GTFO, BITCH!
All of you websites are belong to us!!!
Scorpier,
Are you serious?
Noone gets it, im anti-war… sigh, read my flaming of “Chad” near the bottom of this forum. That should clear things up.
Ironic fail.
Sorry is the irony
Support the Troops, Dump the Commander-in-Chief
Well.. it’s obvious how far to the left this ridiculous blog is.
And it’s obvious how far up your arse your head is. I’m just saying.
He must’ve missed the one with Kerry and the football…
Probably because he was too busy licking out his own intestines.
Oh yeah.. that was an intelligent comment.
This whole thread has degenerated into an EPIC FAIL just like the picture.
…fail
Maybe, but so’s your face.
ugh, thanks for a lot of fail. couldn’t the banner just had welcome home (your carrier name here)?
oh well, back we go…
Failblog has echo chamber fail.
Spanish FAIL!
Have you been to Iraq? No? Then why don’t you run along and SHOVE IT UP YOUR ARSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is all.
I work for the US, I bleed for the safety of the people there, not for the profit margins of a blatantly corrupt corporation.
ha hahh, that reply = epic FAIL for “True Patriot”
um, no, I’m against the war. I was telling Scorpier that unless he’s been to Iraq, he has no right saying that it’s worth fighting.
That’s like saying you can’t comment on rape being a bad thing, without having been raped yourself :S
[a-zA-Z]+, replace with FAIL…

Good LORD!
What IS this, Pundit Kitchen?!
AMERICA FAIL
This has President Bush in it. It is therefore Epic Fail no matter what else is there.
I don’t care what anyone says, I honestly hope that Obama or McCain at least get us out of this god awful war that should not have lasted as long as it has.
President Bush ==== President Epic Fail.
And be grateful for the thousands, millions of American sheepdogs who permit you the freedom to express even bad ideas.
did you typ all that
Your wolves have been in the white house for eight years… feasting on the sheep, bathing in their blood, killing the lambs for fun and profit.
Baa Ram Ewe.
you FAIL.
It is the greatest fail of all time. But it is not really a funny fail, it is a fail of such magnitude, that is not funny anymore.
Bush is Fail of America.
Hope the poeple of America dont fail the next election.
So I’ve never understood how this picture could be considered a ‘fail’.
omg… I seriously laughed for 2 minutes.. I could barely breathe
nice photo shop moron nex time trim around his head closer
This isn’t a fail. it’s actually just a really crappy photoshop so whoever made this is ther person who failed. besides people hang those banners after succesful missions. so don’t accuse bush of crap if the best you can come up with is a very crappy photoshop.
Wow dude, way to copy two of the posts above you (Fail Oct 11, Neemund Oct 21)… next time try to make an original comment. Fail :p
overall americans fail in general. rofl. have fun… in the future..
dumb, you people are pathetic.
i dont get this fail thing at all.. some1 plz explain?!?!
this whole chat is a NO LIFE FAIL!
xD ok I’m from Germany… and I’m not going to say that the USA failed because the country isn’t at fault for what its President does. I also doN
n’t think that THE us-americans failed because I know that not everybody in a country is so stupid to elect someone like Georg W.
Bush FAILS!!!
i cannot believe he was elected twice…twice…omg the morons in this country
{i}well, war always brings debt, and WHAT is federal debt? is it
truly worth anything? 9/11 hit me hard, this war did go for
more than the time it took to capture Saddam{/i}
Not always true…America was the ONLY country in the world to benefit for world war 2
The whole Mission Accomplished thing was in fact welcoming the ship home from a recent tour in the gulf… but was an ironic lolz
wow, talk about assholes. really this is supossed to be funny. you might not think it’s is but that’s why when you don’t have anything nice to say then you don’t say it at all. stop correcting each other. when people are ignorant just leave them alone, because obviously they don’t want to learn what’s right otherwise they would have by now.
oh yeah… win for terrorists, we’ll catch you somedy.
This is like the philosophy website I used to be part of
All political speech writers who have commentated about politics on this speech are FAILS. You hear me? FAILS
well now the country is doomed, obama has put us in more debt in 2 months then in the last 8 years god help us and our country
looks like its photoshopped
Does anyone realize this meant the SHIP’s mission was accomplished? Read the speech.
I don’t get it.
Epic liberal bias FAIL.
Lets hope Obama can pull America out of the hell hole Bush dug for you guys.
really?
are you being serious?
you say bush cheated, but you never really think about ACORN. how about kerry using people who had died? obama wont help. he stopped the production of the F-22 Raptor, a plane so fast that most SAM missiles cant stop it. his healthcare plan is socialist. if you need a pacer you are simply given painkillers untill you die and they give you a grief counseler. they dont pay for the surgery. obama is a full on socialist. hes pulling out of iraq right when things start to get better. i am not insulting your intelligence, simply your ingorance
i love world peace and nice people. there’s more to life than governed civilization.
call me an extremist, call me a terrorist
Wow! most epic fail of the site!- people believe this stuff eh?

you people are retards. bush didn’t lose. the war on terror was over 5 years ago. right now we’re just keeping the people in iraq safe until they can take care of themselves. the war was a success.

besides. this picture is just a crappy photoshop. dont accuse bush of crap if you dont even know what you’re talking about and the best you can come up with against him is a crappy photoshop and a few people that get mad becausebush cut our taxes and is actually keeping you from paying extra stuff to the government.our government has always been in debt anyway. every president has added debt to the country every time they were president since kennedy. plus every country in the world excpet for third party countries are in debt too. so keep your mouth shut unless you have something real to say.
What is so funny about that white guy? i dont get it someone please explain to me. I read all the comments and i still dont know what is going on. Please someone help me.
PHOTOSHOP
Are you kidding me???
your all getting very wound up over a picture…
Wanna see them when their bringing the last boys home with the banner “er no, actually mission fail”

this concept fail
omg. one hour of loud laughter. thank you all. i’d personally go with “this [picture] has president bush in it. it is therefore epic fail no matter what else is [in] there.”
read these words carefully, for this song was wrote especially for him – and what he is….
i responded 2 my self with..YES THIS IS FAIL
Listen to American Idiot by Green Day…you’ll get the idea of what Bush is…
By the way, this isn’t a photoshop picture, the banner is referring to the specific mission these men and women were given, which was a success. US Military WIN!
I don’t get it…
Probably because you were 5yo when this shit happened.
You suck!
This anti-Bush website can’t seem to operate unless they’re either making up crap, or passing on the same altered photos that are the only thing liberals have going for them.
If truth were important, liberals could not have elected this useless bozo we now have.
how is it a fail
Wow how dumb r guys? hes talking to an audience and those r the marine ppl in the background….. its pretty easy to tell because of the heads infront of the camera
well id certaintly rather have him back than gay obama
war sux
-3000 dead lives at 9/11
-thousands of dead soldiers in Iraq without reason
-Bush is a big FAIL
-> Mission Accomplished
i dont get it.
Is this fail for having that complete moron get a second term in office, not having either of the so called missions completed, or both?
The real fail is the president now in office. Obama and the democrat controlled congress are spending us down the hole. Bush may not have been good for foreign relations, but at least he looked out for Americans. Maybe Obama should look out for his country instead of trying to appease the U.N. All aboard for change! Next stop: socialism!
After socialism comes communism. Hopefully America will chose a compitent president will come in office after him. >_>
Ya THINK?!?!?!
