First, he should have made sure he could actually pull off the trick before he tries to show it off to the ladies, who WILL laugh at him FOREVER. Secondly, they can move. If they just lay there and watch themselves get plowed into by a douche bag with a really bad bicycle trick they obviously lack any self preservation instinct and they deserve to get clobbered.
Back in college, I took that dive in front of about 150 prospective freshmen and their parents… this fail has a special place in my heart.

Distortion around the body, varying levels of focus between him and the girls, the grass looks like a strip of it has been spray painted green, and the focus variation is absolutely impossible for that shot, it would have to be digitally shot without an SLR focus and then re-unfocused later.
Not to mention that the girls are not instinctively reacting to being fallen upon.

So incredible that I stumbled upon this. That is my ex boyfriend Mike from high school. That shot was taken at our high school in about 2001, for a newspaper article. Those chicks are about 15 feet away from him, and it’s not photoshopped at all, it’s scanned out of a newspaper. And he lands on his feet every time so…. Win.

anyone else wondering where the hell his shadow is? you can see a little one from the front tire but where the hell is his?
Actually, the shadow appears to be on the bike. He was doing this trick late in the day, so his shadow is almost horizontal (as you can see by looking at his back) and so the shadow is cast mostly on the bike. However, the girls’ shadows seem shorter, implying photoshopping. Though maybe it is just the way I’m looking at it.
That is going to hurt. A lot, especially when the bike lands on him.
